We had the good fortune of connecting with Andreina Botifoll and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andreina, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
One of the greatest lessons that my career has taught me is definitely, Perspective-taking The importance to see everything from different points of view in any situation of life helps us to better understand each other. When we can put ourselves into another’s shoes and really try to understand things from their perspective, we shift the way we see the world

The same with the art, with each design, it’s all about perspective.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a tattoo artist, currently, in Miami, I specialize in illustrative work, with a lot of detail and fine lines. I’ve been tattooing for 5 years and I’m still learning every day I always work to have an identity in my lines and create a personalized design for each one. Make your ideas and concept into a unique piece that you will love for the rest of your life and that makes me feel proud and excites me about the new projects that are to come

Along the way I have worked in three countries, in three studios where I have learned a lot, I have met good artists and good friends.

Learning and updating myself with new equipment and new techniques, to continue growing.

As an artist, the biggest challenge is always trusting the process, trusting myself, sometimes we can make mistakes, but if you are making mistakes… you are doing something, and we learn from our mistakes.

It’s very important to feel good to create, to be inspired, and have a growth mindset

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The best places that I could recommend to do in the city would be, visit the Perez Art Museum and the Science museum in Downtown Miami, go eat a plate of seafood in the Española Way, Ocean Drive is definitely a must walk, you can go and take a long walk by the beach and then go back through the streets and visit stores and buildings and enjoy Miami Beach’s Art Deco, a rooftop in the city could be a good plan anddddd also get a tattoo by me

I am infinitely grateful for the support and effort of my family, my friends who have supported me throughout my career. To my mentor Steven who has always supported me and to everyone who has trusted me to have my art on their skin forever
