We had the good fortune of connecting with Andres Aguilar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andres, how do you think about risk?
In my personal experience I would had not succeed if I had not taking risks. I believe to be successful in business or anything you want to achieve in life you have to take risks, and not be afraid. Risks are bridges you build to get to the top; fear is a chain that won’t let you grow.

My art is floral design mix with event décor, holiday decor, and indoor and outdoor greenery. My style is very colorful, modern, fun, and unique. My personally shows on my designs, and that sets me apart from another florist. I’ve been in the flower and event industry for 20 years, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with well know event designers such as Collin Cowie and Preston Bailey. I’ve creative amazing event for celebrities and had met so many talented people I worked with that I can call my friends. I am very proud of every step I had taken to get where I am, including the hard times, because from those times I gain wisdom, but what I am most proud of is my flower shop. There, my creativity has no limits, I don’t think outside of the box, there, I think out of the building, literally! My shop has become an icon on Biscayne Boulevard. From the colorful flower bicycle standing in the front on the grass by the road, to the fun and colorful theme designs I create every season around the front door and windows, to the cool garden designs for lots of photo opportunities. My brand was, and continues to be built with passion, hard work, and creativity. My products are made with love and some other shit!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Starting in the morning we will go to t Oleta Park. This paradise in the middle of Miami has a lot to offer for outdoor activities. There you can go kayaking, on a bike ride, do a nature walk, or swim in the ocean. After, I will take them to Wynwood to see the amazing graffiti art, visit galleries and eat at some of the restaurants there. After, to finish the day we will go to The Palace in South Beach and my favor spot. There is always fun, all kinds of people, drinks, watching the shows, and the tourist walk by,

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A very loud and super special shoutout to my family who has always stand by me in this crazy roller coaster of being a floral and event designer, and for always believing in my talent. To my friends for their love and support, and to my clients who have given me so much creative freedom allowing me to design beautiful memories to last them a life time.
