We had the good fortune of connecting with Angee Malebranche and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angee, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I started my business at the end of 2011 all I needed at the time was supplemental income for the high rent in New York City. I was only 20 years old and had no idea that I could actually make a livable sustainable wage with a online business. My thought process was I love accessories why not sell it to people. So I went to the fashion district in Manhattan and got to work. I actually tried out a few different business models over the years. But the Prissy Lifestyle branding was the one that stuck.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Prissy Lifestyle is a stoner babe brand. I essentially started the Stoner beauty movement with my iconic Backlash Lash box design. It went viral multiple times and really kicked off the Stoner babe beauty movement. With that I was able to introduce girly smoking products from cones, to scales, to smoking Wands so women don’t burn their nails with my growing platform. I wanted women to feel more comfortable with being marijuana smokers. Getting people to understand my vision of being a stonerprenuer wasn’t a easy feat. But I kept pushing through and being known for creating such a space for women to feel at ease about their smoking was a great feeling. Being a stoner lead me down my spiritual journey as well where I was able to introduce that part of my life into my business. So along with getting all your stoner babe products you can find some spiritual staples in my store as well. I’m really big on energy exchange, people manifesting the best life for themselves, enjoying life, being at peace with self, and getting to the bag.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A itinerary for vacation in south Florida:

Early evening: Dinner at a really good Haitian restaurant. One of my favs is Albertes in Oakland Park, happy hour, and end with a smoke session and deep conversations about a bunch of different topics

Nighttime/Late night: Wynwood, Hardrock, South beach, Las Olas, or any lounge with great drinks and music

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Even though my journey was mostly achieved on my own. I have to shout out my family and my closest friends that have been supporting my business all these years. I would also like to shout out all the connections I’ve made through my online business with other like minded business owners who motivate me. To name a few Dominique (owns D Nicole Co), India (owns Jamie + Grant skincare), Vanessa (owns The Smash spot), Remy (owns Remy’s Vault), Ameerah (owns Nontle Creations), Theresa (owns Make up a Murder), Jaina (owns Secret Slayer Shop). This is just to name a few dope businesses I’ve collaborated with or have had major support from.
