We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Nieves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angel, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Giving up is never an option. While there is life there is hope and while there is hope there is strength to move forward. We are always going to have situations in our lives, but we must overcome them. What would life be like without problems? These situations are what make us grow as people.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I graduated from the university in 2015, I studied nursing. Then I started working with my father in what is the world of personal security better known as bodyguards. I have traveled a lot with this job, I love being able to help people, that they feel safe with my presence and for giving them that peace that they seek when they go on trips or work. it is satisfying to see the peace they feel when they feel safe. 4 years ago he participated in a reality show, Falling in love with us. Thanks to this, doors have been opened for me, I have been able to make very nice connections and friendships. It is a program to find love and finally find your better half.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Puerto Rico has so many good places, be it the beach, museums, tourist places, rivers and countless things to do. Without a doubt, the beach is the place where everyone goes when they come. I love to eat and here you will never go hungry. To mention a few, Culebra is an island near Puerto Rico, it has the best beaches, in San Juan you can go to Morro. You can find a variety of restaurants to delight your palate. Without a doubt, the food and places in Puerto Rico should be on a list of the best in the world.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
If I have to thank someone, it would be God, thanks to Him and my family, especially my mom for always supporting me and instilling in me good values. Without her I would not be the man I am today, if I could take years of my life I would give them all to her. I love you mommy. God has saved me so many times from death that I try to live each day to the fullest. Without him and my family I don’t know what would become of me.
