We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Collie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process for starting my own business centered around helping businesses keep and grow the money they earn, by providing cash management and tax planning solutions.

What should our readers know about your business?
AFC CPA Accounting and Tax Services stands out from other firms because we pride ourselves on being able to connect with our clients on a personal level, and we have a genuine care for the success of their businesses. We offer monthly tax provisions to our clients, along with the bookkeeping services, so that our clients know where their businesses stand from a tax perspective, thus allowing them to plan accordingly for cash management purposes.

I got to where I am today, by the grace of God, discipline, and staying focused. In addition, I thought that others could have higher levels of success, but not myself. I knew this was a limiting belief, and sought out to change this narrative that often played in my head. I started reading books on shifting your mindset, I engaged mentors and coaches, and did the homework to break every mental boundary, and I have been soaring ever since.

Along this journey I have learned that I must be consistent, seek out to engage in environments and tasks that stretch me, and to take time for myself to recalibrate.

I want the world to know that AFC CPA prides itself in offering excellent service, which is grounded in integrity and professionalism.

I like going to the orchestra-Adriene Arsht Center, jazz venues, in door rock climbing-Project Rock and sky diving-i Fly , trapeze-Aerial Trapeze Academy, hiking, and church-Jesus People Proclaim International Church.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my children Gabriel and Jasmine! They are the reason why I decided to go into business fulltime, and its been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
