We had the good fortune of connecting with Angie Guppy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angie, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have always been passionate about the arts. Expressing myself creatively has been an outlet for me, so sharing it and making a career out of it only makes it more enjoyable for me now.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most proud of the progress I have made with my content, it is something that has not been easy. I have made it this far by practicing consistently and staying motivated. As a model and through my personal development I have seen the difference in my confidence within my photoshoots. I learned that in this art form, it is not about just taking pictures, you have the power to convey a message, show emotions from a visual perspective. As a makeup artist I am constantly growing and learning different techniques when it comes to makeup. Just remembering all the challenges I faced to get where I am makes me so appreciative.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When it comes to Miami, there is so much to do here. I think the first on the list would have to be the beaches. We have such a variety of beaches here. If the person wanted to experience the night life after taking a dip, South Beach would be a go to destination. While you’re there its a must to check out the Versace mansion, formally where the designer resided has now turned into a luxury hotel and restaurant. Growing up in Miami I always remember seeing this mansion while on South Beach so it is definitely something cool to check out. If you are a foodie like me, you’re going to want to check out Wynwood Miami area as well as Midtown Miami. There you will find a variety of unique restaurant experiences ranging from all different types of food. One of my favorite restaurants can be found in Wynwood and its called 1800 Lucky.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many people have supported me throughout my journey. When it comes to modeling, I have to give credit to my college modeling troupe at the University of South Florida, Prestige Modeling Troupe. It was really there that I was able to gain my confidence as a print model. I have an amazing support system at home with my friends and family that have always pushed me to follow my dreams. Even those friends and family members that let me practice makeup looks on them, it all helped me become a better artist, getting that hands on practice.
