We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Panovici and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anna, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Having a restless spirit that’s never satisfied with “good enough” was the first sign of my entrepreneurship journey. Being a business owner involves constantly improving your achievements and never resting in your comfort zone.
Success doesn’t come from what someone is doing occasionally, it comes from consistency. In our case success does not belong to us, but to the people, we work with. We are bringing humanity back into marketing.
Research shows that the most successful companies have without a doubt one thing in common – tell their story as it is. It comes with ups and downs, mistakes, moments of pride, emotion, and life stories. That takes courage. This sense of raw reality brings together consumers who identify themselves with the brand for what it truly is. People don’t like to be sold, but they love to buy and they don’t buy what you do but WHY you do it.
When we focus more on our goal or what we can build with our brand instead of outshining the competition, that’s when real success begins.
At Webcographi we build relationships and take a personal approach to every story.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am that type of person that goes after what is right, not for what it’s easy. Here comes the big challenge in marketing for us. Many people are so used to and easily impressed by numbers, clicks, followers, views, and data, that they forget about building a brand.
We live in a time when everyone wants immediate results, same-day delivery, and ads that capture attention within the first second. In this fast-paced environment, there is a lot of pressure on marketing managers to track everything. However, we forget that patience is a very important quality in life and in business. Yes, patience it’s bitter, but its fruit is sweet.
Here comes the challenge. Some people don’t understand the difference between Direct Marketing which is entirely measurable and encouraged to express a particular response (clicks, impressions, or purchases), and Brand Marketing which is mostly immeasurable, and aims to increase brand awareness and trust.
“If we can’t measure it, it’s not worth it…” (The mistake many people make).
The problem is that if you only rely on strategies and campaigns that can be measured, you could miss out on opportunities to strengthen your brand.
And that is important because developing a brand is essential. You will not have a business that people seek if you don’t develop a brand.
If your strategy is to build a brand using only direct marketing methods and pay for ads to get consumers’ attention, then it could become a never-ending circle where the only way to catch their attention is by paying more. A story, on the contrary, sells itself.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
What can be more beautiful than an ocean sunrise? I believe that nothing can be replaced by this daily feeling of a new beginning in Miami. So I would start with a sunrise, followed by coffee, of course. Fortunately, Starbucks opens early. We would definitely go kayaking on the rivers, it is one of my favorite activities. It’s not luxurious, but the feeling is more precious than being on a yacht. We would have breakfast at Neverland, one of my favorite places for the positive vibe. Definitely a walk on Ocean Drive. We would stop at Bodega Tacos in South Beach, a walk through the Design District, and Wynwood for mood and art and the cherry on the top we would go scooter riding to feel the breeze.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Frankly, I should thank everyone. First and foremost, the main shoutout should go to my family, who encouraged me to explore different hobbies as a child and allowed me to make mistakes and learn from them. They planted a seed in my brain that I am highly creative and I can do anything I set my mind to. I wouldn’t be the resilient, strong, and independent woman I am today without them.
Also, I treasure my friends. I feel extremely lucky that I met so many wonderful people as I went through different chapters in my life. Only with great people, you can build something beautiful, and I am grateful to those who were at the foundation of who I am.
Our clients play a lead role in our success. I feel overwhelmed by the trust and flexibility that we got in our partnerships. Everyone has such an amazing story to tell, and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to share their stories with the world.
Last but not least, another shoutout goes to my business partner and the team, who contribute and build brick by brick our Webcographi venture.
In the Marketing field, you can’t stop being creative, it’s a world that has no limits. I am so proud that we rediscover and find ourselves every day in this beautiful branding world. Their productivity and passion are unmatched and appreciated, and I am so happy that they decided to align their TIME and CHOICE in this journey with me.
