Meet Anna Ruiz | Co-founder and CEO at SHOOTIFY

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Ruiz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anna, what is the most important factor behind your success?
When I was working as a fashion stylist and my partner, Anna Gunselman, was working as a fashion photographer, we were constantly asked by clients the same questions: “Where can I get the best ghost mannequin images?” or “Who can shoot our next collection so the images actually sell?”
Many brands didn’t have a reliable studio to turn to. They were working with individual photographers who didn’t always have the right experience, tools, or techniques for eCommerce product photography. That’s how Shootify started – we wanted to create a studio that made getting high-quality product images reliable, fast, and affordable – kind of like Uber, but for eCommerce.
Today, Shootify is truly one of a kind — an all-in-one eCommerce product photography studio where brands can get everything in one place: photography, video, 3D rendering, and now even AI fashion campaigns. What’s really exciting is that we can photograph products right here in our Miami studio and use those exact images to create AI model campaigns that keep every garment 100% accurate – the texture, color, fit – everything.
In just a few weeks, we’ve created full AI campaigns for several well-known fashion brands that would normally cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and require shooting in locations that are almost impossible to access. And the best part? Those brands told us their AI campaigns created at Shootify actually performed better than real-model photoshoots, with stronger engagement and higher conversions.

What should our readers know about your business?

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d start the mornings slow — probably breakfast at Pura Vida or Greenstreet Café, then a walk through the Design District or Wynwood to grab coffee and check out some local art. I love showing people that Miami isn’t just about the beach — there’s a whole creative scene here that’s really inspiring.
Lunch at Mandolin Aegean Bistro is always a must — it’s one of my favorite spots — and for dinner, maybe somewhere cozy in Coconut Grove, depending on the vibe. I’m all about good food with good atmosphere.
We’d definitely spend a day in Bal Harbour or on the South of Fifth beach, and one night I’d take them for sunset cocktails at Joia Beach or The Standard — that’s the Miami everyone falls in love with.
On the weekend, we’d go boating around Biscayne Bay, music playing, sun out — it’s the best way to see the city. And of course, I’d have to show them Shootify, our studio. It’s such a big part of my world and a great way to show the creative side of Miami that’s growing so fast.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are definitely a few people who deserve credit for where Shootify is today. First and foremost, my business partner, Anna Gunselman — she’s not only an incredibly talented fashion photographer, but also one of the most driven and creative people I know. We balance each other perfectly — I come from a styling and business background, she comes from the creative and technical side — and that mix is what makes Shootify work.
I also have to thank the amazing brands and clients who trusted us early on. Many of them came to us with small collections or tight deadlines, and because they believed in us, we were able to grow and build something much bigger together.
And, of course, my husband Ulises Ruiz — if it weren’t for his constant support, we truly wouldn’t be where we are today. He’s always encouraged all my bold ideas and believed in every step, even when things felt uncertain. He’s my biggest supporter and constant reminder to keep going. When I have my downs, he lifts me up — and when he needs it, I do the same. That balance has been such a huge part of my motivation and strength.
Lastly, I’d say a big part of our inspiration comes from the Miami creative community itself. There’s so much energy and talent here — it pushes us to innovate and stay ahead. Shootify wouldn’t be what it is without that mix of creativity, collaboration, and support.
