We had the good fortune of connecting with Antwon Lindsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Antwon, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Creating A38 Films, I wanted to ensure that the services and content we create would always be in the interest of changing people’s lives. By creating content that compassionately connects with our clients and viewers, we can inspire them to contribute peace to the world and assist with healing the souls of so many that continue to suffer.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The beauty of creativity is that, it is all about the interpretation of one’s perception of reality. I am inspired to create, due to my personal desire to help others end their suffering, as well as inspire others to become an inspiration. Getting to the space that I am now, has been a result of my “choices” and “sacrifices” in life. It was a very enduring process as I often experienced loss, disappointment, frustration and all other things that led to my overall suffering but what I since learned as I persevered through some of the toughest moments of my life, by becoming a published author and award-winning filmmaker – is that life is going to happen with or without our active participation and only with compassion can we truly understand the splendor of our human suffering. So, it is important for others to know that when working with me – it’s never about the accolades or the sensual pleasure of being praised but always about transcending the lives of others. That’s what’s important. To align our life’s purpose and our passions, so that we can leave peace and joy in the hearts of those we reach.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Gem Waterfront Restaurant, which is my top choice for causal eating. We’d then take it up a notch and head to IL Gabiano Downtown Miami for some exquisite Italian dining or perhaps Morgan’s Restaurant for brunch. We’d also, make our way over to the Wharf and enjoy some great food at their outdoor waterfront property. In addition to searching for great places to eat, we’d also be sure to checkout many of the hidden gem art galleries and history museums within the city. And since I love homemade ice cream, we’ll definitely make a trip to Clevelands Ice Cream shop in the city of Miramar.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am grateful for my family and close friends, who are the individuals that have inspired me the most within my life. Many times, I’ve fallen victim to the rising fear of not being worthy enough to achieve the goals I set for myself but my family and close friends have always been there to encourage me along the way. My son , is the primary source of my motivation as I strive to become a better me each day – so that he is privileged to have a father that not only achieved many goals but possesses the necessary emotional intelligence and compassion to help guide him towards his hearts desires. On my journey of life, I faced so many unpleasant experiences that I became fascinated with understanding human suffering. It led me to reading several books that I would recommend to everyone, ‘When Things Fall Apart”, “Meditations by Marcus Aurelius”, “Purple Cow”, “Fear by Thich Nhat Hanh” & “The Purpose Path by Nicholas Peace”. I would love to give a shout out to everyone that supports me and especially my mentors – because you all are great component of me continuing to seek ways to create more opportunities for others.
