We had the good fortune of connecting with Arbeilla McCray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arbeilla, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The measure of my success is based the impact I have on others to help them come into their purposes. I took a faith jump in starting my business. God give me a vision, I submitted back unto Him and here I am now… fulfilling the vision in reality. I matched my faith with my prayers and trusted God.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the proud owner of Tea Cosmetics, LLC (The Makeup Tea). We launch in October 2020. We have put in the foot work to start our business. From the quality of the products to the branding and marketing of Tea Cosmetics. We are launching with 12 foundations (for all skin tones), 4 setting powders, our Tea Mist, and 3 more skin care products that we know you will love. This is not an overnight startup company. We invested into Tea Cosmetics because we believe in our products. This all started from a vision the Lord gave me sitting in my mom’s living room. I prayed, talked to my husband, mom and sister. And from there I went to work by doing research and trusting the vision the Lord gave me. If I have to share my experience in a couple of words it would be… giving birth right in the midst of a pandemic.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well being that I am a devout Christian and so are my friends we will definitely be going to church (Miracle Valley Praise and Worship Center, Miami, FL) where my husband, Terrence McCray is the senior pastor. Then we would definitely have plans to go to a couple of museums (ex: candytopia museum). Can’t forget about tacos, Coyo tacos and while we are in Wynwood go to the walls and explore. Lastly, my girls and I love a good spa day, so we will find ourselves at Turnberry Hotel.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband, Terrence McCray has been so supportive on my faith journey to entrepreneurship. He cheers me on and prays for me continuously.
