We had the good fortune of connecting with A’Rion Scales and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi A’Rion, how do you think about risk?
Risk to me is a faith activator no you’re not going to intentionally take risk that could harm or damage you but every move is a risk if you move on your own will and might Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and we have to know that , despite what the world may tell us if god tells you to do it or he confirms that you can do it, do it! I took a risk quitting my 9/5 to focus on my business wholeheartedly but it took so much faith for me to get through that process god told me to quit my job and it took me more than a year before I did it because I was afraid ,afraid of being broke but fear is not of god and once I removed my fear and activated my faith god was just like boom! We on!!!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I don’t like to look at myself as a chef because to be honest I always knew I’d be a business owner and I had so many plans but God used my cooking skills to get me in the door of business this was never apart of my plan it’s not idea to be called a hustler by society’s views my but my perception is different I am a hustler. I’m a chef , I’m a party planner, I’m a decorator, I also have my own product line of drinks and seasonings and sauces along with a skincare brand @blackgirlglow___ and I have a ministry as well @forevergrateful_neversatisfied I’m much more than just a chef that was the door opener but that’s not just who I am . I am most proud of through adversity I’ve remained unmoved once I allowed God to be the head of my life things changed I revamped my catering business 6 times but I never gave up I just got better with time.I got to where I am today by allowing God to lead me I had to literally let go , let go of what the world, society, my parents, school etc told me I should be or what I’m supposed to be doing when God speaks to you sometimes it won’t make sense to anyone else but that’s ok because it’s his vision for you stay focused this process has not been easy at all with my support system, prayer , fasting and faith amongst all things i was able to understand that we don’t always understand what God is doing neither do we like it but everything he does works together for the good of those who love him.what I’ve learned along the way is FAITH even if just the size of a mustard seed it’ll carry you, close your eyes and silence your ears to anything that is not of god and where he’s trying to take you , even when it looks bad praise him for your praises bring the blessings remain humble you can be up today and down today stay focused , everyone won’t see the vision they aren’t supposed to.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Okay this is tricky lol,we’ll I’ll start by saying I love Florida overall I’m a die heart Florida girl broward county pompano specifically other states say we’re aggressive I think it’s passive agression if you can make it here you can make it anywhere. we would most definitely eat at @flossie_maes the food is amazing if I must say so myself, for drinks we’d go to wynwood and also check out some art it’s beautiful there,for the views let’s go to the beach it’s so tranquil and everyone loves the beach you meet some of the most amazing spirited-people there .Sunday church at kingdom of god ministries Bishop Ferguson and Lady Ferguson are amazing after church brunch at just spoons cafe the food is sooo good!

First and foremost God, Thank you God for never leaving nor forsaking me thank you for loving me even when I didn’t love myself most importantly thank you for keeping me, to my parents you guys are truly amazing thank you so much for everything you’ve instilled in me thank you for being hard on me for making me the woman that I am today for always being there for me , thank you for supporting me thank you for raising us the way you did thank you for the skills you both instilled and inspired this hustle that’s in me , I love you both beyond words , my grandmothers, my aunts , my cousins thank you all for supporting me,to my siblings thank you all for riding with me it hasn’t been easy but we did it and we’re doing it I love you guys so much generational wealth is on the way.To GANG my extended family , blood doesn’t make you family circumstances do! I love y’all man this here is forever I’m truly grateful for every last one of you, to my special Someone thank you for loving and supporting me, thank you for seeing my vision, thank you for your words and your encouragement I love you , to my church kogmi and my bishop and First Lady thank you for your love and allowing god to use you in such a mighty way thank you for loving me i love you all and lastly to Flossie I miss you daily but I know I’m making you proud and I know you’re with me always.
