We had the good fortune of connecting with ARLON JOHNSON and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi ARLON, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was me simply realizing that I needed an infrastructure in order to operate effectively as an independent artist in todays industry and to be able to have a foundation built that can accommodate any creative ideas for projects and having the necessary creative control to pull of those ideas and projects. So I took it upon myself to study and learn all the skills needed to be progressive in my field of work, while still partnering with others, building a team, to get my goals accomplished.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is my creativity in the dance field. Im aware of it being unorthodox and different, but it keeps me in my own lane.
I’m most proud of the years and time i’ve put into my career because now I’m able to be more clear and make better decisions based on my experiences throughout my journey.
Along my journey, it wasn’t easy because it was hard trying to find a team or people to assist me in the many areas of my artistry. So i took it upon myself to learn the skills necessary to move forward and get things done.
The lessons i’ve learned is to trust your gut because sometimes the dream is only seen from your lens and others may not see what you see so always be aware of your intuition. And don’t be in a rush. Life is about timing so put in the work and when your time comes around to be successful, put in even more work to maintain and have balance in your career. It’ll pay off years down the line.
What i want the world to know about me is that im a talented being that loves the arts and loves to learn new things and explore whatever journey to accomplish a goal. I love the youth and im very invested into the youth in my community and i plan on growing and expanding that as well.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If it was a week long trip, Id definitely take my friends visiting to the beach and the restaurants or bars on the strip such as ‘rock bar’, or to a nice mature hangout at the club/lounge ‘da cave’ or the gentleman club ‘G5’ or ‘King of Diamonds’. I will take them to certain food places such as ‘Trap Bachi’, ‘Wings & More’, or ‘Famous Phils’. Some places we can also checkout is Xtreme Action Park, Top Golf, or even a night out on Las Olas to the many clubs and bars as well.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my teacher and mentor, Israel Charles for teaching and sharing the information and things that i apply in my career heavily today. He has assisted me and many other careers in many ways no matter how high or low it was. His expertise and advisory has kept me out of a lot of horrible business situations so for that i will always thank him and give him a shoutout for all he’s done for me in my career.
