We had the good fortune of connecting with Armando Ghinaglia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Armando, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of I DO Beach Tennis has been our unwavering commitment to building and nurturing a vibrant community around the sport of beach tennis. From the very beginning, our goal was not just to offer beach tennis activities but to create an inclusive environment where enthusiasts of all levels feel welcomed and inspired. By organizing the biggest Beach Tennis events is the Country, providing top-notch coaching, and fostering a supportive atmosphere, we’ve brought people together to share their passion for the game. This strong sense of community has not only grown our loyal players base but has also elevated the profile of beach tennis in our region. Moving forward, we believe that continuing to prioritize community engagement will keep driving our success and the sport’s popularity.
What should our readers know about your business?
At I DO Beach Tennis, we’re passionate about introducing and expanding the exhilarating sport of beach tennis in the United States. What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to fostering a vibrant community around a sport that combines the joy of tennis with the laid-back appeal of beach life. Unlike traditional sports, beach tennis offers a unique blend of competitiveness and fun, all set against the backdrop of sun, sand, and sea.
We’re incredibly proud of how beach tennis has grown rapidly in countries like Brazil, Puerto Rico, and across Europe. In these places, it has become more than just a sport—it’s a cultural phenomenon that brings people together. This international growth fuels our excitement and reinforces our belief that beach tennis has immense potential here in the U.S. as well.
Our journey to where we are today has been anything but easy. Without permanent courts or official permits, we faced significant challenges in establishing a foothold for the sport. My wife, Michelle Bos, is the true hero behind I DO Beach Tennis. For over 12 years, she tirelessly set up and broke down beach tennis courts every weekend, ensuring that enthusiasts had a place to play and newcomers could discover the sport. Her dedication laid the groundwork for our community and inspired many others to join our cause.
Overcoming these challenges required perseverance, creativity, and a deep love for the game. We hosted free clinics, organized local tournaments, and connected with international beach tennis communities to share resources and knowledge. One of the key lessons we’ve learned is the power of community engagement and the importance of staying true to our mission despite obstacles.
We believe that with increased sponsorship and support, beach tennis can experience a surge in popularity similar to the recent “pickleball effect.” In fact, beach tennis offers several advantages—it’s less strenuous on the joints due to the forgiving nature of sand, reducing the risk of injury and making it accessible to a wider range of players. Plus, there’s nothing quite like playing a sport you love with your toes in the sand and the ocean as your backdrop.
What we want the world to know about I DO Beach Tennis is that we’re more than just a brand—we’re pioneers on a mission to share the joy of beach tennis with everyone. We’re dedicated to promoting a sport that not only encourages a healthy, active lifestyle but also builds lasting friendships and a strong sense of community.
We invite everyone to join us on this exciting journey. Whether you’re an athlete looking for a new challenge, a beach lover seeking fun in the sun, or someone interested in supporting a growing sport, there’s a place for you in the I DO Beach Tennis family. Together, we can elevate beach tennis to new heights and make it the next big thing in the U.S., just as it has become in other parts of the world.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Throughout the week, we’d meet some of the most interesting and passionate people—local artists, chefs, fellow beach tennis enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs who make our community vibrant and unique.
What makes our area special is the blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and the welcoming spirit of its people. From the adrenaline rush of catching a wave to the peaceful moments watching the sunset on the beach, there’s something here for everyone. I believe experiences like these not only showcase the best places to eat, drink, and explore but also capture the essence of what makes our community so exciting and inviting.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

Certainly! Based on the information you’ve provided, here’s how you might craft your heartfelt shoutout:
Absolutely, the person who deserves immense credit and recognition in my story is my wife, Michelle Bos. She is the real hero behind I DO Beach Tennis. For over 12 years, Michelle has been the driving force in promoting and nurturing beach tennis in the USA. Starting from scratch, she spent countless weekends setting up and breaking down beach tennis courts on the beach, often without any permanent courts or official permits to support the sport. Her unwavering dedication and passion have been instrumental in building the beach tennis community from the ground up. Michelle’s relentless efforts, even in the face of challenges, have inspired many and laid the foundation for the growth of beach tennis nationwide. Without her tireless commitment and love for the sport, I DO Beach Tennis wouldn’t be where it is today. She truly embodies perseverance and the spirit of community, and I am incredibly grateful for everything she has done.
