Meet Avry Griffin | Co Founder, CEO Griffy’s Organics

We had the good fortune of connecting with Avry Griffin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Avry, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was broke, juggling four jobs, and unsure of my future during my senior year of college. While many of my friends had secure job offers or plans for post-grad degrees, I found myself at a crossroads. Despite my less-than-stellar grades, I always knew I wanted to build something of my own; I just hadn’t figured out what that was yet.
Griffy’s Organics was born after I quit my internship and realized two things: first, my personality didn’t mesh well with working for someone else, and second, I wanted to do something meaningful with my time. Anything else felt like a waste.
My passion for entrepreneurship, combined with a deep interest in nutrition and biohacking, and a genuine love for helping people, led to the creation of Griffy’s Organics. A significant motivation came from losing loved ones to cancer, which fueled my desire to help others live their best lives.
Before Griffy’s, I had already started two other businesses, and I had a cousin who shared my passion for nutrition and helping people. This combination of purpose and passion was crucial in getting the business off the ground and building momentum.
When starting out, I asked myself some tough questions: Am I okay if this takes longer than, costs more, and offers no guarantee of a return? I came to realize I could thrive under these conditions for the love of what I do. Creating something of immense value for the people we serve every day.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Griffy’s Organics, our mission was born from personal loss. After losing loved ones to cancer, we became passionate about providing everyone with the opportunity to live their best life, starting with the fuel we put into our bodies. We offer an elevated yet welcoming whole-food nutrition experience, with a focus on accessibility & inclusivity. Our specialties include Raw Elixirs, Sea Moss Gel, Wellness Shots, Superfood Smoothies, Adaptogen Lattes, Teas, and Grab N Go options. Our ingredients are carefully crafted to work in synergy, supporting specific areas of health. Additionally, we provide nationwide shipping, one-on-one nutrition consults, and a membership program that rewards vip members with discount savings off every purchase.
Starting Griffy’s Organics required substantial preparation and foundational work. We got our start into the wellness space as a holistic health blog offering free nutrition consults and donating to food deserts, during that time we crafted the original 6 Raw Elixirs out of our kitchen at home. It has been an ongoing journey of continuous improvement to refine our products to meet our customers’ expectations, who have been amazing in communicating to us what they love and don’t love. We’re heavily focused in investing back into our communities, so the connections & relationships we’ve formed have been instrumental We faced many challenges along the way, like all businesses do. However, having a clear vision and purpose has kept us moving forward, with diligent execution driving our progress.
One key lesson I’ve learned is the importance of treating people well. With the right intentions, a willingness to listen, and honest communication, things tend to work out. Staying true to these principles has been crucial in navigating our journey and building strong relationships.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First things first, in the morning, we’re going to start off calm with a juice/smoothie and hit the beach with a walk along Ocean Drive. In the afternoon we’re going to hit Tranquil Retreat to refresh for some massages, saunas, the works. One thing I love about Miami is the food, so grabbing some Sushi at Sakura or Paperfish followed by a movie at The Retro Cinema – they play classics and it’s got a cool vintage vibe. Some things on the itinerary would be Wynwood, Little Havana, Dolphin Mall, It’d be a long list!
Throughout the week, we’d definitely encounter some of the city’s characters – local artists and musicians to fellow entrepreneurs and creatives. The energy here is contagious, and I guarantee my friend would leave with not just great memories, but also a deep appreciation for the vibrant culture and the amazing people who make this city special.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It takes a village to raise a child, and the same is true in business. I owe my success to a great family and an incredible support system that includes wonderful friends. The team at Griffy’s Organics is made up of extraordinary individuals who genuinely love connecting with and spreading love to others. They are truly special people. Our community of customers supports us tremendously, not just through their patronage but also by spreading the word and bringing great energy into our store.
Success is best when shared, and I believe that God and everyone involved, in any capacity, has played a role in our journey. To all who have supported us, encouraged us, and believed in us, I owe my deepest gratitude. The efforts and love have been instrumental in the ongoing success of Griffy’s Organics.
