We had the good fortune of connecting with Ayana Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ayana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I noticed that childcare, one of the most important industries anywhere, was in dire need of innovation.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
itavi offers premium childcare. Our approach differs from other childcare services in that we believe in ownership of accountability and resolve. Our team is vetted and trained. itavi is a team of childcare professionals not babysitters. itavi’s process is one in which we ensure success from the moment we meet with families.

Our process and intentions of approach have proven to be successful. I am thrilled to be able to create a sustainable and different approach to the practice of childcare.

Business is not meant to be easy. Challenges are opportunities for growth. Time, consistency, strategy and the right intentions have allowed itavi’s growth and success.

I would like to share our story and the importance of childcare, how adjustments in process and approach can help set the path to allow a challenging industry to be better for all stakeholders.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Miami is experiencing an exciting time. There is so much to experience that didn’t exist 10 years ago. From South Beach to Wynwood – the design district and Coconut Grove to Little Haiti so many gems to discover and enjoy.

Miami has the most beautiful beaches, incredible restaurants, arts & culture and the best people watching. Soaking in all the flare and flavors that makes Miami unique is my favorite.
