We had the good fortune of connecting with Bailee Elkin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bailee, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always known I wanted to create something of my own. Entrepreneurship is in my blood. My family has owned their own business for over 30 years. The name ‘Jigsaw’ actually comes from my parents’ hair salon, which has been a staple in our community for decades. When it came time to build my own vision, it felt only right to carry that name forward and give it new life through The Jigsaw Collection.

I’ve been a part of many practices over the years, and one thing that became very clear to me is how important it is for everyone: clients, therapists, and even the business itself to feel aligned. When you know that what you’re doing matters, you show up differently. For me, it was essential to create a space where therapists feel valued and supported, where clients know they’re seen and heard, and where everyone involved can recognize the impact they’re making in the world. Because they are all important.

For me, starting my own practice wasn’t just about opening a business; it was about creating a space where real healing could happen. I wanted a place where clients don’t just come to talk, but to grow, where they leave with tools they can use both inside and outside the therapy room. At the same time, I wanted to build a group practice that supports therapists just as much as it supports clients. My dream was to create an environment where therapists feel empowered to grow, take risks, and truly thrive.

On every front, I want people to know they don’t have to go through life alone. Whether you’re a client finding your way, a therapist finding your voice, or someone who simply needs a reminder of their own strength, you belong here. My purpose is simple: to make sure everyone who walks through our doors feels supported, encouraged, and set up for success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business has grown tremendously over the past few years, but it didn’t happen overnight. I’ve spent much of my career helping to build other people’s practices, learning from different leaders, and walking alongside clients from all walks of life. Truthfully, my clients have been some of my greatest teachers. They’ve shaped the way I see the world and the way I lead.

Growing up, I never felt fully understood or truly seen. I often felt slightly misunderstood, like I didn’t quite fit. That experience became the driving force behind my work. I’ve always been fascinated by human behavior why we are who we are, why we do what we do and more importantly, how to understand those who feel misunderstood. My mission is to walk alongside people so they never have to feel alone in that space. I want every client to know they’re not broken, they’re not “too much” or “not enough” they’re human. And because they’re human, they’re already enough.

That same philosophy applies to the therapists I lead. I never want my team, or any therapist, to feel like “this is it” like they’ve hit a ceiling in their growth or their potential. With the right support, love, guidance, and compassion, there is no ceiling. We don’t grow when we lead from fear. Fear keeps us small. True growth comes from love, authenticity, and a genuine care for the people around us.

What sets me apart is that I’m not afraid to see others grow: clients, therapists, colleagues, I want them to. Too often in my journey, I worked with leaders who were afraid of other people’s growth, including mine. They wanted me to build their vision, not my own. I had to make a choice to stop people pleasing and start building something aligned with my values. That’s how The Jigsaw Collection was born, and why it’s now both a thriving therapy space and an online platform that reaches far beyond our walls.

This journey hasn’t been easy. Being a therapist requires constant work on yourself, and adding the responsibility of building a brand and leading a team amplifies that. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The lessons I’ve learned are simple but powerful: always stay aligned with your “why,” lead from love instead of fear, and surround yourself with people who genuinely want the best for you.

What I want the world to know about my brand is this: we’re here to remind people clients, therapists, anyone we touch that they are seen, they are supported, and they never have to walk through life alone.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Perfect question! I’ve lived in South Florida my whole life, so I’ve got this on lock! Here’s what a week-long trip with my best friend would look like filled with a mix of adventure, amazing food, and some much-needed downtime.

We’d kick things off on Friday at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. It’s my go-to beach local, beautiful, and not as crowded as some of the other spots. Everything is walkable and the restaurants there are incredible, so we’d grab lunch and enjoy the ocean breeze.

Saturday would be all about nature and fun, so we’d head to Oleta State Park for paddle boarding or kayaking. I love paddling out to the sandbar, meeting new people, and just soaking in the calm. Later, we’d switch things up and hit Round Up in Davie, those were my old stomping grounds, and it’s always a good time. Depending on the friend we might visit the S*x Museum or the Ice cream museum!

For dinner one night, we’d head to Sparrow Rooftop for amazing views, great food, and drinks. Another night, we’d check out Casa Sensei in Fort Lauderdale or venture into Miami for a quieter but unforgettable dinner at Astra or Doya. If we’re feeling more lively, we’d explore Wynwood for its art, food, and energy.

At some point during the week, we’d take a trip to The Berry Farm. It’s such a beautiful spot to slow down, wander through the sunflowers, watch the bees, and have a picnic out in the field. I’d also make sure we spent some time at the Hollywood Boardwalk roller skating, it’s one of my favorite ways to relax and have fun.

We’d wrap things up with a visit to the Yellow Green Farmers Market, walking around, trying local foods, and just enjoying the vibe.

South Florida has so much to offer beaches, culture, food, and little hidden gems everywhere. I grew up here, and I love sharing the parts of it that make me feel at home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family, always. They’ve been my rock strong, reliable, and the kind of people you always want in your corner. Their love and support have shaped so much of who I am and how I show up in the world.

I’ve also been incredibly fortunate to have amazing mentors along the way, especially my now co-owner of Systemic Solutions Counseling, Dr. Ayala Winer. Ayala encouraged me to become a therapist, was my supervisor for years, became a colleague, and now is my business partner. She believed in me long before I believed in myself. She’s always seen me for who I am and who I could be, and that’s a gift I’ll never take for granted. Alongside her, her daughter Ortal Winer has also been such an inspiring force in my journey and has recently become a very close parnter.

And then there’s my husband, my literal Yin to my Yang. He grounds me, supports me, and is the most amazing teammate I could ever ask for. He understands my dreams, pushes me to chase them, and knows exactly when to remind me to slow down when I’m moving too fast.

I truly love and appreciate all the people who have been in my corner through every stage of this journey. They’ve believed in me, seen me, and lifted me up when I needed it most. Because of them, I know I can face whatever comes my way.
