Hi Barbara, what is the most important factor behind your success?
At GROU, we believe the most important factor behind our success has to do with truly believing in our mission, our local impact and how we are helping our community. Staying true to our mission of offering a local experience and supporting 70+ local brands keeps us inspired everyday, helps us overcome rough times, attracts the right people to our team, and spread a sense of community wherever we go.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
If I could choose only 1 thing the world needs to know about GROU, is that we support 70+ local businesses, 90+ local entrepreneurs, more than 350 families! Our community impact is truly our differentiator. We strive on bringing the best in our community and offering a local experience to everyone that comes to GROU. We’ve been in business for 2 years and our 2 locations have been a living example of hard work, dedication, transparency, and community support

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d definitely start at GROU for some coffee and breakfast, then go around miracle mile, coconut grove, brickell ave and key biscayne! Lunch at the boaters grill in key biscayne, come back to GROU for a real AFFOGATO experience (if you havent try this you need to check our instagram!). Then wynwood to experience a very different Miami scenery, a good Sushi place and finish off with drinks

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Definitely my husband, and business partner, Orlando. Working with him has been a blessing to our marriage and business venture. We complement our strengths and weaknesses very well, and support each other no matter the circumstances. But the best part of working together is that we continue to find reasons to motivate each other, inspire one another and learn from each other every day. He’s a real leader and i’m very thankful to have him by my side.
