We had the good fortune of connecting with Barbara Sales and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Barbara, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I want to bring out confidence in all women no matter their shape and curves. We’re all beautiful and need to celebrate our bodies. Our bodies are sexy. They bring life, in more ways than one. They are also super alluring! We can, and SHOULD, flaunt that.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I carefully select the best, high quality beachwear my fingers have touched. They are soft but firm, sexy and elegant pieces. The threading is perfect and I am obsessed with each piece! Selling online without going viral is hard! I don’t want to be an “in your face salesperson”. So I try to post daily and interact with my followers as much as I can. But creating content every single day for a tiny company is difficult. I just recently had a baby so I am not bikini model material right now. So I am always on the hunt for models and photographers who are looking to add to their portfolio at little to no cost. I want the world to know that I show up, even if it’s behind the scenes, every single day, that is how I overcome.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband- he was the initial investor and does all the hard work setting up at vendor markets. Without him, I wouldn’t be able to show all the beautiful beachwear! I also found such a strong support system online! I have friends who are always sharing my posts and that goes a long ways in the age we’re living in.
