We had the good fortune of connecting with Basiliso Moreno, LMSW and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Basiliso, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
During the initial Covid lockdown, social workers continued to provide services to our clients, many of us risking our own lives. However, who was there for us?  Part of my business goal was to help my fellow social workers addressing their self care needs.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
BasCity Entertainment LLC is an online self care business for social workers, mental health professionals, nurses, teachers and other helping professions using poetry and Zumba. I always say Self-care is not just a hashtag, it’s a way of life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We can spend a beach day at Rehoboth Beach. Catch a minor league baseball game (Go Blue Rocks!) There’s not a lot to do in Delaware. Ha!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my talented wife Jenisse who has supported all of my unique ideas these last 3 years. I also want to shoutout my WHY, my children Elijah and Sophia.
