We had the good fortune of connecting with Betty Armas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Betty, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think I can speak for all of us when I say taking risks can be terrifying! This is because it is in our human nature to be afraid of the unknown, of things we don’t know the outcome of, of things we have not done before, our brain naturally protects us by making us feel scared of the unfamiliar. The body does not like to get out of its comfort zone! Funny enough, successful entrepreneurship involves taking risks. Of course, I still get terrified at times when I have to make a risky decision, but I remind myself to embrace the feeling instead, it’s part of the process! Once we understand how our minds work, we will understand that we control our thoughts and not the other way around. Even if you are not an entrepreneur you will still need to take risks in life! Perhaps it is moving to a new city, a new job, or even a new baby! The way I like to see life now is, without stepping out of the unknown we can’t reach our fullest potential! And we are all capable of greatness if we can master this!
Don’t be afraid of taking risks, be afraid of staying stagnant! The best things in life can be found in the unknown!
What should our readers know about your business?
I have tried various niches of business in the past couple of years, but none of them made me feel like it was it for me. I didn’t feel like it was part of my purpose. One day, I said you know what, I want to build my own brand in the online fitness industry. At this point I had already been working on my mindset for years, so I knew already that I have a creative mind and all the other qualities needed to do what it takes. It definitely has not been easy, growing a brand at the beginning takes a lot of time, hard work, passion, perseverance and lots of trial and error. Although I put in a lot of work, it does not feel like work to me because I truly enjoy what I do. I enjoy inspiring women to take care of their health, by eating more nutrient dense foods, moving their body to avoid a sedentary life and to work on their mindset, as this is key for anything in life!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Alright I looooove the beach, and my favorite beach is Sunny Isles Beach because it is SO clean and there are not many tourists. You only really see locals. This is due to there is really no public parking! But I’ll give you an insider, there is a Walgreens on collins and 175 that has a small, hidden public parking spot! Super affordable (compared to Miami Beach) and it is always empty! My absolute favorite healthy spot is called ‘Sproutz’ and it is also at Sunny Isles Beach. If you are feeling a date night kind of vibe, then my go to is ”CVI.CHE 105” at Aventura Mall, make sure you make reservations, the place is sooo good its always packed, even on a tuesday night!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The main person that I have to thank for so much is my husband, Angel. When you have someone who says they believe in you and your capabilities when you yourself still don’t, it can open your vision so much! Others I would love to thank I don’t personally know but their work and contribution to society is amazing in my opinion, they are Dr. Joe Dispenza, Gregg Braden & Dr. Bruce Lipton. Their research, conferences & books have helped me understand so much of how the human mind works and how incredible we all are and our potential. And lastly Dr. Wayne Dyer for his book ”Your Erroneous Zones” it was the first personal development book I ever read and it completely shifted my ”victim” mindset.
