We had the good fortune of connecting with Blake Grun and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Blake, what do you attribute your success to?

I’m beyond thankful for the success that Palm Beach Cheese Girl has had thus far. We began right before the pandemic, which caused both challenges and opportunities for us, but these challenges and opportunities ultimately led to the successful business that we are today. While it may seem counterintuitive, the timing played a crucial role in the success of Palm Beach Cheese Girl.

The pandemic forced many of us to seek creative outlets and moments of joy amidst the uncertainty, and for me, my joy was bringing others joy through charcuterie. That’s where Palm Beach Cheese Girl was born. Being a relatively new business, the challenges were evident, but I saw them as opportunities for growth. The pandemic emphasized the importance of bringing happiness, experiences and a touch of luxury into people’s lives. Charcuterie boards, with their artistic presentation and diverse array of flavors, became more than just a product, they became a source of comfort and a symbol of celebration, even if the celebration was a small, intimate gathering at home.

As an entrepreneur, I attribute my success to three key factors: creativity, determination, and my roots in event planning. The creative aspect was essential in developing unique and visually appealing charcuterie boards that stood out in a competitive market. It became a form of expression during a time when people were craving something beautiful. The determination came from a genuine desire to bring positivity and joy to others through my work.

At the heart of our success lies a true understanding and passion for the art of presentation and the knack for transforming gatherings into unforgettable experiences. This all stems from my event planning background and business Blake Hope Event Planning.

I believe that the combination of these three things helped this niche of a product become as successful as it is. Drawing from our event planning background, we approach charcuterie board and grazing table creation as more than just assembling meats and cheeses. It’s about curating a visually appealing focal point that combines flavors, textures, and aesthetics to bring your event or gathering to the next level. One of my favorite aspects of the job is being able to network and form connections with the community. The amount of amazing people that I have met along the way, between deliveries, being in homes doing grazing tables, or consultations for future events is unbelievable and drives me to do my absolute best.

Lastly, I attribute the success of this business to having the most loving family, friends, and community to support my business and encourage my passions and goals. This strong support system has been an integral part of Palm Beach Cheese Girls journey. Success is not just an individual achievement but a collective effort that extends beyond the business itself. We have had friends and family step up when we needed them, hard working employees that take pride in their work, and a community that is incredibly supportive beyond words.

Now, a little over three years later, we are proud to say that we have grown in business, size, and exposure. I’m extremely proud of what this passion project turned into and am thankful for each and every customer that has been with us along the way. We look forward to further growing and expanding and hope to be a part of one of your events soon. We are so excited to see what this year brings!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Palm Beach Cheese Girl specializes in creating unique and customized charcuterie boards and grazing tables for you and your loved ones to enjoy. Whether you’re celebrating an occasion, wanting to spice up date night, or looking for a thoughtful gift to give, we want to be there for you!

Our charcuterie boards and grazing tables typically consist of a variety of meats, cheeses, crackers, olives, pickles, grapes, honey and fig jam with a little something sweet of course! We are extremely flexible with any dietary restrictions and will deliver right to you! Our hope is that your experience with Palm Beach Cheese Girl is top notch and that all of our customers have a satisfying experience that they would recommend to others and do again.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

It’s so tough to pick my favorite spots in the city, but here are a few things I would highly recommend! Definitely go to a Florida Panthers hockey game (Big Panthers fan over here!) If you want to venture down south a bit, make sure to visit Key Largo! You will feel like you’re in a tropical oasis. Downtown Shopping is a must and the shopping in South Beach is unmatched. If you’re a fan of cafes or coffee shops, my favorite is located in Wynwood and called Novela Cafe Social. While you’re there, make sure to check out the wall murals all over town. Lastly, if you’re able to get a reservation, make sure to indulge in a dinner at Carbone!

Beyond these suggestions above, the city is full of options and has something for everyone! My friends and I mainly look for a place with a cute ambiance and take it from there!

I would love to shout out my family, friends and the community for being so supportive of Palm Beach Cheese Girl and contributing to its success. I certainly wouldn’t be able to do this without the support of my husband, parents, brother, grandparents, and in-laws. Their encouragement and belief in me helped push me past my limits. My friends are incredible and are always helping in any way they can, whether that’s recommending Palm Beach Cheese Girl to anybody looking for a way to spruce up their event, or by sharing Palm Beach Cheese Girl on socials to spread awareness. And lastly, I wouldn’t be here without all of my new and recurring customers that I have had along the way. It’s been a beautiful thing meeting so many people amongst the South Florida community.
