We had the good fortune of connecting with Bouchra Benhalima and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bouchra, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
At first, Collage art was a little girl passion/hobby that I transformed into a business later. I never thought It would become a business till I started to have order requests from my friends, colleagues, family, etc then I said : Why not earning money with it?

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

The strength of collage / Art images relies on controlled coincidence, the tension between compilation and composition, and shifts from the past to the present. Once a fragment is derived from its original source and combined with other elements, the complication becomes a composition and new meanings and senses come into being something meaningful and impactful… I love the collage process and journey: starting from scratch, slowly giving life to a final art result, and finally delivering a meaningful message through each art work.
No, it has never been easy, and of course it’s an unending struggle to make people understand your process, your art world, but at the end of the day it’s worth it because you meet and build your own art audience that understands your art mindset.

My name is Bouchra Benhalima but my artist name is DALYA.B. which is a nickname is used when I was a teenager and I was raised and spent my entire life in Paris, settled in NYC since August 2022.

Collage is the way I found way to express myself since childhood. From a real cultural mix, we can guess a bubbling brain, receptive to all the daily scenes that unfold in our world.
