Meet Branden LaMar – Brown | Professional Bartender, Model, Actor Studying for Real Estate.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Branden LaMar – Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Branden, how do you think about risk?
Well Sometimes it’s good to take a risk when it pushes you outside of your comfort zone and helps you achieve a healthy goal. At other times, taking risks can have serious negative consequences on our health, relationships, or education. from what i do, Model, Acting, Bartending and now studying for real estate. everything has been a risk taking at some point. but i would say the modeling has put me at the most risk. because traveling now only from all of the high risk heath issues. but with modeling doing gigs that you dont get paid for just to be seen is a big risk. for me being a professional bartender taking off of work for a modeling gig and missing around $500+ is a risk in it self but you have to do what needs to be done. you have to pay the way to make the way. i believe models and actors would understand this more then anyone.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My main Career is a Professional Bartender but after saying that i have to say that i am a model and Actor. Whats sets me asides form others is that i do it all. See my Brand is someone that does it all and thats me its not many things that i cant do. if i see something and im like okay thats making money im going to learn and do it.. So just call me Branden LaMar Does it all. lol Im most proud of being alive to be honest. not many people i grew up with is still around to be able to tell they story. What im really excited about now is passing my real estate Ls. and also opening up my own lounge. Look iv came a long way from from being in Milwaukee where there is no where to progress to moving to Atlanta with no where to live and making my own way to. Me being an professional Bartender and modeling and acting has really gave me the idea that i can do anything i want. I got to where im at now by hustling and being a strong black African American man. no one has paid the way for me. well we all know family has always been there for us, But there are things you go though that family cant even help with even if they wanted to. but you keep strong and keep moving. Was it Easy hell no its so many times i wanted to throw in the towel but that would mean i would have to go back home – “Milwuakee ” and that was a negative. so i kept pushing you keep pushing into you get what you want. and no im not where i want to be but i am in a great place go great that i can keep pushing. my journey has just began . look iv learn so many lessons from saving money to being with the right person relationship wise to loving the wrong people to even trusting the wrong people. What i can tell you and what i want people to know about my brand is that Hey, my name is Branden LaMar and iv came from nothing but love from my family. and i have pushed so hard to be where i am at. i can explain every scratch and mark on my body and tell you how it has made me the man i am today. but who has the time for that. lol IM a virgo im going to take control of my life im going to be observant im very realistic and one person you can trust.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well i don’t have many friends in Miami so when one fo my friends visit if its from Atlanta or Milwaukee i know the first place were going to hit is the beach thats gone be almost an everyday thing. one thing i love about miami is the beach. after that i don’t recommend but you have to check out ocean drive expensive but its worth to check out once. 7 days i say well getting in and cant check in until 3/4pm get in shower then hit the beach. then check out a few places on ocean drive. check out mango or voodoo lounge. next day brunch at Limonada Bar bottomless mimosas then back to the back.
that Wednesday i would say lets rest cause this weekend gone be lit. Thursday we start with brunch at Cafe Bastille, then walk over to BaySide which has some nice shops and after thats lets eat again at bubba Gump shrimp Co. the i said rent or do a boat tour. friday and saturday i say we head to design district ” swan a place you have to check out and wyndwood. to shop and go out out.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Well let me take it back all the way to when i was a baby my mother Lisa Brown had me in photo clubs: Gerber Baby, Olan Mills she always felt i was going to be in front of the camera. For high school. I attending Milwuakee High School of the Arts. Which of course is located in Milwaukee Wisconsin. going to this school is where i broke my shyness. i learned so much from this school and also learning so much about my self, This school gave me all the basics of being an actor not only did i learn as a actor but i took. a year to learn behind the scenes as well i only thought it was right for me to learn as many aspects as i can to be-able to excel. I took a turn in college to explore Graphic Design when i moved to Atlanta Ga, At the Art institute. which definitely gave me an extra skill but could not bring me away from wanting to be seen on screen. Iv had plenty great opportunities in Atlanta from being on GreenLeaf, Ballers and other great shows for background. but when i was really able to release and show my skill i took an audition with an online network called WatchACTV. – Ran by Wesley Henderson Which has so many different shows. Which has me in one of the top shows on the network. Called The Mister ” Check it out” we are currently wrapping up season 3 which these last 3 year Wesley Henderson has really taught me so much as an actor and as a person. You stick with someone during they dream and you and soon your will come true. As one job iv always had no matter if I am doing acting or modeling on the side is Bartending. A Boss iv still can go to this day would be Shema Fulton, which owns serval restaurants in Atlanta one person that has always been flexible with my schedule and understands a true grind if you stay Loyal to certain people you always have someone in your corner. Iv Became and ambassador for a Great and amazing athletic wear line called Sankofa Athletics – Owner Khalia Ervin, Which has put me in fashion shows all across Atlanta and it so much more coming please check them out as well, Walking in LA Fashion week two years in a row has really been amazing. But being in Miami has really gave me an new out look on things has been great far ass the photo shoots in so many places working with so many different photographers learning so many different things. one other thing that miami has done was give me an outlit from my grandmother passing in January which put me in a real hole. which is what kinda brought me to miami not was it an escape but it was an escape. I needed an outlet something to keep me busy something to keep my mind off of my grandmother – Gloria Brown. the one thing that i promised my grandmother i was that i would get my Real state License not because she wanted me to but thats my final step in what i want under my belt and she has been trying to push me to do so and what has really pushed me the hardest is loosing her. so its all for her!
