We had the good fortune of connecting with Brenda Aguera and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brenda, how do you think about risk?
I believe that without risk theres no transformation, every decision you take is going to come with fear, risk, but also opportunity and a chance to transform your life. The first risk I took was talking about spirituality, energy and consciousness out laud on my social media. What was I risking? My friends talking bad about me, unfollows, haters, people on validating my arguments etc. In order to move past those risks and fears I realized that they were not my problem to solve, that my power laid in being vulnerable and take action, make a decision disregarding my fears.
Risk are what pivoted my career, and Im sure that if you take them yours will too.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I consider my self a conscious creative, I’ll explain what this concept mean .I have been so many things in my life, from professional singer with an artist career, a visual artist, art curator. Bar owner(Proyecto Tulum) and now I am a holistic life coach and consciousness facilitator. Who knows what I ll be tomorrow.
I have always had a struggle to label what I do, because I do so many thinks. I think that being a conscious creative means to follow your heart and to do things that expand your energy, and the result would be that your life would expand and become great.
Being a conscious creative involves being vulnerable, do things your way and maybe not about going viral, maybe is about reaching your own description of success. That is who I am, as a personal brand and as a person, I try to be real and. honest on social media, I say what I think and believe, it doesn’t mean you have to agree with me, but im sure I would move something in you that would make you question some stuff.
The toughest part of my job is getting lost on your feed haha I am not kidding, its though out there and creating healing and positive content takes work and theres a lot of valuable knowledge I put out there. My content gets lost behind all those dancing videos and its hard to get through people. But I know that what I put out there would get to the people they need it, it is not about viralness anymore, it is about valuable content, about what are bringing to the world.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If you are visiting me you for a couple of days I would definetly take you to South Point Park in Miami Beach for a afternoon walk, then go for dinner to Carbone.
During the day we would probably visit the Design District, hit a yoga class at Ahana Yoga and then have some lunch at Pura Vida.
