We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Madon CFD and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired by so many things! The blended cultures of Florida, colors, nature, art. But I think one of the biggest inspirations we have is actually our clients. Each wedding couple comes to us with a different vision, attracted to something that we offer that resonates with them. But since no two couples (and their respective weddings) are ever alike, we are constantly challenged and inspired by them to bring their unique vibrancy into our plans and designs.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I feel like we’re set apart in our industry niche of destination weddings because of how we’ve streamlined our processes. Weddings can be stressful at times, and particularly destination weddings. So it makes sense to make that whole process of who-what-when-where easier for our clients. We’ve done a pretty OK job of that and are constantly trying to find ways to innovate that process and make it even better for everyone from our sales staff, to our wedding couples, to our wedding day teams. Improving upon what we have is constant and that work will never be done. We’re always going to be pushing forward relentlessly to make it better! Speaking of “making it better”, we are really excited about our new line of packages coming out. We’ve tweaked, tested and tinkered with ideas on how we can offer our clients a more luxurious, high end wedding experience at a way more reasonable price…and really do it right! I’ve been working with my partner to figure out the designs and we’re almost ready to finalize and start the process of putting the photo shoot together. I can’t wait to roll out all of the beautiful designs we’ve been obsessing over, and their amazing price points!
As we plan for this, we are thinking of our couples and their experience with us. If we could give our couples one bit of candid advice as they plan their weddings (with us or with anyone else) it would be to ditch words like “perfect” and replace them with words like “Romantic”, “Memorable”, “Fun”, “Beautiful” when thinking of their wedding day. By eliminating the P-word from your vocabulary you can start to relax and have fun planning a special day in your lives that you can remember with joy.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So I am a Florida born and raised girl, and there are just SO many places that I would love to share with friends and clients!!!! I will stick with just some of my very favorites. You have to spend a day in Hollywood (my Home Town), strolling down Hollywood Beach Broadwalk and heading across the street to Le Tub off the intracoastal for lunch (don’t mind the toilet bowl planters, they’re spotless). You can go kayaking around the corner at West Lake Park before hitting Young Circle and touring the amazing Hollywood Mural Project (uhhhm, the HOTTEST selfie spots) and checking out the boutique shops and eateries and bars there. If you have time to head to the beaches of Fort Lauderdale you’ll certainly get a world-class experience! I enjoy going to the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens, and around the corner to Shooters Waterfront dining to lounge and dine in relaxed Florida style. And of course you have to end up at the B ocean to see the live Mermaid show (it’s Florida! Of COURSE we have mermaids). If you want to head to Miami, we could spend a whole day in Wynwood with all the murals and cool eating and drinking holes (bring your camera and your creativity!). And the romantic in me would love to share some of South Florida’s castles…Coral Castle, Ancient Spanish Monastery and Vizcaya. And if there’s time I would love to hit Everglades Holiday Park’s airboat tours…On just the right day, in just the right weather, it’s like you’re flying while you’re toured through sawgrass on dark waters that reflect the sky perfectly. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many amazing people who are factors to why our business is still alive, growing and flowing. It would be hard to pinpoint just a few to thank. But the biggest part of why we are who we are is because of our absolutely amazing team, who I am forever grateful for. From my husband/co founder to our assistants, designers, officiants, photographers, videographers and set up specialists….Our team carries me and our small, dedicated business forward, one wedding at a time. Thank you. Additionally, we have to thank our clients! Their trust in us is incredibly humbling and empowers us to do the best we can. Our couples give us purpose and direction.
