We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittni Lawrence and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittni, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand cannot be narrowed down to one thing. The 3 factors that play a role in my success include passion, drive, and support. I’ve never given up on myself or my business because I genuinely do love what I do. I enjoy being able to spread joy and positivity through my art. The best part is hearing little kids, who are brutally honest, tell me what a good job I’ve done. Seeing their faces light up with laughter and smiles when they see their face painting designs truly warms my heart. It helps fuel my drive to persevere through the many ups and downs of being an entrepreneur.
I also owe a very specially thank you to all my friends, family and clientele that has supported me over the years. Booking with me, liking and commenting on my posts and re-sharing my content. I can’t thank everyone enough for all their support, kind words, etc. Running a business isn’t easy but when you truly love what you do and have a solid support team you can truly conquer anything you put your mind to.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My name is Brittni Lawrence and I am the owner of Face Painting Brittni. Face Painting Brittni is a party entertainment company offering face painting, body painting, balloon twisting and custom sip and paint kits. Since starting my business in January of 2019 it has flourished. I am truly passionate about my craft and I feel my customers are able to see that. From my exceptional customer service skills, to going the extra mile during events to make sure both parents and kids are content.
Being an entrepreneur comes with many trials and tribulations. My journey has had highs and lows, yet I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am thankful for my amazing support system (friends, family & followers/clients) that have supported me along the way. I am not sure I’d be where I am today without them.
One of my greatest accomplishments as a business owner includes being featured on WFLA news in recognition of my quick and elaborate designs and abilities. I am also very appreciative to be acknowledged by other artists and major companies, such as silly Farm (Producer of the Face And Body Art International Convention) and being able to impact kids in a positive way by bringing them joy and happiness through my art.
I’ve learned many lessons through trial and error on my journey as an entrepreneur. One of the most important lessons is no matter what happens, do not give up and keep pushing forward. This has helped me to persevere through my first year as a business owner and fueled me to find innovative ways to stay open during a pandemic. This is just the beginning of my brand, I look forward to what I will be blessed with in my future.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As a mobile face painter I am constantly traveling all over South Florida. When in Miami I like trying new food places with my best friends. Some of my favorite spots include ice cream from Frostbite Nitrogen Ice Cream in Davie, Florida, brunch at Victory Restaurant and Lounge or dinner and vibes in Wynnwood‘s Art District. I also enjoy visiting the beach to either lounge in a cabana or fishing off the coast. Miami’s diversity is like no other, from the food to the cultures.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate my shoutout to my mothers’. They’ve instilled the traits in me that have helped mold me into the independent and compassionate person I am today.
I would also like to thank my team.

As a mobile artist servicing all of south Florida I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing creatives. I highly recommend checking them out if you are in the Miami or Tampa Bay area. Tell them Brittni sent you !
Treenay Lyons owner of CLRD Artistry is an amazing makeup artist and the only MUA I work with in the Miami area. Keem owner of KMXS photos has done all of my professional photos and I absolutely love his work. Jeanie Santos is an aspiring model and good friend of mine. When I came up with a body painting concept for my first Face Painting Brittni Photoshoot, she stepped out of her comfort zone and truly brought my vision to life. I am so appreciative to everyone that has helped me along my journey as an entrepreneur.
Face Painting Brittni offers face painting for corporate events, birthday parties, festivals, school events, etc. We also offer full body paintings for photoshoots, maternity shoots, festivals, special events etc.
