Meet Bruce Turkel | Author of “Is That All There Is?”

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bruce Turkel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bruce, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The first time, I was working at an advertising agency and was young and unexperienced enough to mistakenly believe that I was capable of running the business by myself. It was what my father called “the confidence of ignorance.” Things worked out quite fine, but not without a lot of hard work and very stressful decisions. Every time since then has been well-thought out and based on a well-researched consumer or customer need.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have spent my career using my talents and superpowers to help individuals and companies figure out how to create messages that help them meet their goals. I’ve written five books on the subject, each showing my readers how to find what they really want to do and how to use their uniquenesses to accomplish that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Restaurants: Everything at Joe’s Stone Crab; Argentine parillada at Cheto Grill in Homestead; Minuta fish sandwich at La Camaronera; Rice and beans at Versailles; People watching at Greenstreet; Margaritas at Bakan; coffee and croissants at Madruga Bakery;

Attractions: Walking the trails at Fairchild Tropical Gardens; Watching the sunrise at Mattheson Hammock;

Things to do: Early morning runs with The Red Road Runners; Listening to Bob Bonnen play guitar and sing in Key Largo; Paging through the covers at Books & Books; Staring at all the beautiful 911s at DRT; The Love-In Festival at Greynold’s Park
