We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryson Armstrong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryson, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve loved makeup sense i was a little kid.
I first started after watching Mykie on Glam and Gore doing a torn face makeup and I fell in love with sfx makeup then.
I didn’t get into beauty makeup until I started school at Cosmix school of makeup artistry and I really enjoyed it.
I love how you can express your feelings through makeup and how you can make other people feel beautiful and the transformation you can see from start to finish.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think what sets me apart is the style of makeup I do. I love doing dramatic and dark looks, I love making the dark beautiful,

I started with working at a haunted attraction and then I knew working with makeup is what I wanted to do as a carrier

I went to cosmix school of makeup artistry to learn beauty and sfx makeup.

And the only challenges I’ve had was people saying that men can’t be successful in the makeup community but it only gave me more motivation to keep going and not give up

The message I want to spread is beauty and makeup is for everyone regardless of gender, race, or background

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
one of my favorite places to go in Florida are some of the beautiful beaches, my favorite beach to go to is south beach. I also love to go into the city with my friends to go look at that art, some of the shops, and having photo shoots. I love going to the thrift shops as well

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All my friends from school, they have all been so encouraging and helped me when I was struggling in classes.
They have all helped me with learning so much and encouraged me to keep going when I was feeling discouraged.
I am so grateful and lucky to have friends like them
