We had the good fortune of connecting with C. Kindred and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi C., why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued a creative career path because I wanted to bring what I seen in other states to Miami. I love lashes and find that the beauty is in the eye of the beholder and because that quote, it just shows me how much more amazing, and special lashing is to me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The main thing that sets me apart from others is that I am always willing to go the extra mile for my clients. My clients will majority of the time hear me say “of course I’ll fit you in” because when my clients are satisfied, I am as well. I am most excited about continuing my journey as a full time lash technician and all the new exciting things that I am working on to better my business not only for myself but for my clients as well. I got to where I am today by taking A LOT of risks and leaning on faith. Seeing what works and what doesn’t is not easy at all but if you love what you do then you will have no problem with stepping out on faith. Praying helped out a lot in overcoming my challenges as a lash technician, especially on the days I felt like giving up . The lessons I’ve learned is to never stop learning because there is always room for improvements, even if you feel like you got it down pack. I want the world to know that my brand “Ssklashstyle “ is more than just about lashing, it’s about enhancing the beauty that you already have. Making each and every person that lay in my chair come out feeling 10x better about themselves. I will always go above and beyond for my clients and supporters.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my best friend to visit some nice museums and after we would visit wynwood for great scenery, music and restaurants. We would also have to visit south beach for drinks and a chilled bicycle ride on the beach (something I love to do when I’m not working). To finish off the mini vacation we would have to end it with shopping at Dolphin or Aventura Mall.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shoutout to my daughter for giving me the motivation to never give up and making me want to push to be a better woman and role model for her. I also want to give a huge shoutout to God for just always hearing my cry’s and stressful nights and just never letting me give up on myself. Lastly I want to thank my big sister Nikki for always supporting me and being my backbone through the hardships in owning a business because it is not easy.
