We had the good fortune of connecting with Cadz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cadz, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
I am manifesting that my end goal will be me, Cadz, headlining one of the biggest music festivals on the planet. This can include Woodstock, Summerfest, or Coachella. Once I get off that stage I will feel like my career will be complete and I hope I don’t lose my flame, but motivate me to push past boundaries that others dream of.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe that the moment I was given a chance to even think about a career in singing I fell in love. Nowadays artists are just more than singers, they are entertainers, philanthropists, role models. My first challenge was to gain the confidence to put myself out there and in the spotlight, this was possibly the hardest part because I had to be vulnerable and be strong enough to take criticism. When I released my first single I was a nervous wreck because I wasn’t expecting to feel so exposed, but I felt so proud. It was just a dream of mine to be considered a singer and now I can be one. The dream might be big, but it’s going to be a journey.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The first place that I will take someone in Miami will definitely be Bayside. I believe Bayside is the perfect combination of high-rises and the ocean. Since Miami has evolved into a modern city, the ocean is the biggest reason for visiting, but the nightlife is the second-best thing. Bayside has everything you need from shopping to bars/restaurants, to live entertainment. The next best place is Wynwood, mostly because Wynwood has become a multi-cultural artisitic hub in South Florida where tourist come from all over the world to experience the day vibes and especially the amazing nightlife of music and party. Miami is a party city, but I also feel like it has hidden gems for people who aren’t into the party. This includes the Frost Museum as well as Parrot Jungle and the Zoo, which have become attractions that Miamians have overlooked, but are still good to experience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate this to my highschool music theory, Dionisio Martinez, he was the one that allowed me to explore the “singing” world. He was the one that taught me vocal technique and how my voice works, while also allowing me to be part of an ensemble that sang at graduation. In a million year I would have NEVER thought that I was going to sing in an ensemble and if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have even thought about it.
