We had the good fortune of connecting with Candice & Lauren Henry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Candice & Lauren, what principle do you value most?
There are three core principles that serve as a roadmap for how we want to live our lives. They are so important to us, that we even shaped our business, Aretios, around these same three values of purpose, influence, and adventure. We believe that in order to live life at its best, we need to be inspired by the purpose for which we were created, equipped to positively influence the world around us, and empowered to embrace the adventure of life as it was meant to be lived. Living by these three principles has helped us to create our dream careers, live a life that we love, and serve other people in the process. As a result, we’ve become passionate about helping other people to experience this kind of life as well. Want to join us? Check out the 5-day Best Life Challenge at www.aretios.com
What should our readers know about your business?
At Aretios, our mission is to inspire, equip, and empower the next generation of extraordinary leaders. Growing up, personal growth and leadership had a major impact on our lives, but when we looked around, most of the people who were learning and studying these topics with us were decades older. As leadership professors in our 20s, we thought, “Why don’t more people our age learn about this? It could totally change the course of their lives!” So, we set out to teach these success strategies to young adults in a way that is engaging, practical, fun, and most of all, life changing. We continue to learn and grow everyday on this journey of entrepreneurship, and getting to build this dream business of ours together as sisters has made the journey that much more special and fun. Together we are creating an elite community of leaders and game-changers who are making an impact and living their best life. Through our teaching and tools (like The Daily! www.aretios.com/thedaily), we help people discover the difference between those who just have dreams and those who live them, so they too can experience a life of purpose, influence, and adventure.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Here’s some of our favorites in the Sunshine State that we’d want to make sure you didn’t miss. Start the day with a delicious brunch from the Biltmore in Coral Gables by their stunning pool and courtyard gardens. We recommend the Eggs Benedict! Then head for the sun and waves with some beach time. Our personal favorite is Siesta Key and its sugar white sand. For lunch, we love Oxford Exchange, where London’s historic charm meets modern socializing, creating the ultimate gathering place. Anything on their menu is a winning choice! We always love to take our friends to explore the grand Ringling Museum and mansion. You’ll be amazed at the size of the magnificent Reuben paintings and feel like you’ve stepped back into the world John Ringling, the circus magnate of the 1920s, as you walk the pink marble halls near the water’s edge. If shopping is what you’re interested in, then look no further than Worth Avenue in Palm Beach for a posh selection of shops and delightful restaurants. Before you head out, savor your last sunset at Gumbo Limbo at the Ritz Carlton Naples, which is perched right on the beach for the perfect view. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We wouldn’t be on this wonderful journey of leadership and entrepreneurship if it weren’t for our phenomenal parents. We are incredibly grateful for their unconditional support, love, encouragement, and brilliant examples of leadership.
