We had the good fortune of connecting with Cardsy B and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cardsy, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I came into my current work of offering intuitive readings, teaching and writing about The Tarot in a somewhat serendipitous but unplanned manner after going through an extremely challenging period of losing my marriage, my executive career, and all the things that I thought made me “me.” Since I read Tarot as a childhood hobby, I began pulling a card a day for myself as I began trying to heal through that period of loss and depression. That turned into me reading for friends and former colleagues and led me to begin offering sessions. From there my thought process in evolving that into an entire business, was to offer healing and help people access their intuition in fun approachable ways. I offer this through one on one sessions, group courses as well as my book, The Saturn Diaries.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The thing that I hear the most from readers of The Saturn Diaries, listeners of the Hex and The City Podcast and individuals that work with me one on one is that I make the mystical and spiritual extremely accessible. My mission is really to help people to access their own inner knowing in fun, magical and approachable ways.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m plant based so I absolutely love Planta Queen as well as the Organic Farmers Market in Coconut Grove on Saturdays. I also love shopping in the Design District and Michael’s Genuine for dinner.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A huge shoutout to my best friend, Lisa Stanton McCarthy, an incredibly talented writer who has encouraged my writing and the creation of my business every step of the way, I literally wouldn’t be here without her.
