Meet Carlene C. Wright | TV Host, Speaker & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Carlene C. Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carlene C., we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
After graduating from Florida Atlantic University with my degree in Multimedia Journalism, I decided to start “Wright Encouragement” simply because I wanted to have the autonomy to create and produce transformative content to encourage, educate, and inspire the masses to be the best version of themselves. I have always loved all things media and at one point really wanted to be a reporter/anchor. Though, I am still very fond of that field, I find pleasure in working within myself to come up with ideas and then to partner with other creatives to bring it to life. As an ordained Minister, it has become another way for me to showcase God’s handiwork through the lives of others. We started out with a talk show and have since evolved to add hosting services, speakers, events, and now that I am a certified professional life coach there are other inovative ideas that are forth coming for the “Wright Encouragement’ brand.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As an entrepreneur I own and operate two businesses “Wright Encouragement and Wright Insurance Firm” Both businesses are centered around caring for people. With “Wright Encouragement,” just the name alone makes me happy 🙂 I am proud to say that we have received so much feedback on how the show, an event, or a post has been exactly what someone needed to encourage them and to deal with a particular scenario. For me that’s priceless. We are where are today because we take every lesson learned as an opportunity to reset and move forward. We value being impactful over being impressive. We want the world to know that when you encourage others, you have the power to transform their lives. The “Wright Encouragement” goes a long way! Operating “Wright Insurance Firm, is a great blessing. We have been serving the community since 2014 with life insurance products. It is rewarding to be there to support families when they need it most. We have learned that we are all connected by this emotion call love.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love being around people so I am always up for a fantastic weekend with friends, food, and laughs! I enjoy the Hollywood, Florida area so I would take a friend to visit the Hollywood Blvd strip with me. We would shop at the boutiques along the strips. We would stop at Ginger Bay so that we can enjoy Jamaica Food along with a live reggae band, and then some have ice-cream.. Then on Sunday, I would take them to church with me at The Faith Center Ministries in Sunrise, Florida for an amazing worship experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First, I would like to dedicate this shout out to my mother, Advira Monica Wright. She is the epitome of encouragement. My four sisters and I grew up in a single parent home. Needless to say that journey came along with several hard times, however, she never gave up on being the best mother that she could be. She was in love with believing in God and always looking at the bright side of things. Her leadership has made an inedible mark of encouragement on my life that has paid dividents beyond what she will ever realize. Secondly, I would like to dedicate this shout out to my four sister (Winsome, Pauline, Patricia, and Felichia) and people like who refuse to loose out on their destiny, no matter what life’s throw at them. They stay encouraged and get up every day with the understanding that; as long as they are still breathing they can reset and move forward. You all inspire me so much!
