We had the good fortune of connecting with Carolina Sosti and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carolina, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Yes, over the years I learned that there are two main things I needed to include in my daily life be effective. First, was forming habits. I start the morning with a healthy ginger-lemon juice, followed by a few minutes meditation before I start my day.
Having the discipline to eat a healthy breakfast, practice yoga, separate a time of the day/week to respond to emails, promote my classes, makes my work/daily life more productive.

What should our readers know about your business?
Starting a yoga business career was not easy. At the beginning I taught so many classes, I drove all around the city to get from one client to the next. I was exhausted, and more than once I questioned myself going back to corporate business, and doing yoga on the side. (As I did for many years) But there was a voice inside me that reminded me I was born to do this.

So I started being more “selective” on the classes/clients I accept, and focus more on teaching workshops, and limit the amount of classes I teach weekly. I also took the risk of having my own space (provided by the Town of Davie), which gives me the opportunity to start my own practice.

Teaching yoga is part of who I am, I love every aspect of it, from the physical postures, to teaching workshops sharing my knowledge about alignment, anatomy, chakras.

I believe this phylosophy of life is for everyone. The physical, and mental benefits from a yoga practice are many, and so beneficial, that if everyone wouls practice yoga, the world would be a better place. I teach several styles, mainly Hatha yoga, vinyasa, and yin, creating sequences according to my client needs.

I enphasize in alignment tailoring the classes for different groups.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In a perfect scenario, I would start the day either practicing yoga, or sound bath (wellness related), followed by a healthy delicious brunch. (If you can name restaurants, maybe Creama Cafe, or Sano) I definetely love spending time at the beach.

And a few places you cannot miss if you visit South Florida are Lincoln Road, South Beach, and a night on the Wynwood walls.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would dedicate my career success to my daughter, Lola. Thanks to having her, I decided to switch careers, leaving my corporate job, in order to spend more time with her, and dedicate my business time 100% to my passion, my wellness, my mental health, my yoga practice/career.
