We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassandra Cruz-Dockery Nadine Antoine-Musangi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cassandra Cruz-Dockery, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Our thought process behind starting our own business: We wanted to continue to support, empower and guide teachers and parents on ways to help their children build a solid academic foundation from the very beginning. We need to go beyond our classroom!
We had a lot of “what if” moments, What if we wrote a book? What if we did teacher workshops? What if we did parent-child connector classes? What if we changed the way people viewed Early Childhood Education? What if we showed others what has made us successful educators?
So, we turned our “what ifs” into BloomingPages.info, a minority women owned early childhood education small business that provides engaging and interactive teacher and parent classes, workshops, and resources, that lead children to become confident learners, independent thinkers, and all-around Blooming Scholars, who are rooted in learning.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Over the last year, Blooming Pages has been hard at work! We have done speaking engagement, community events, hosted our own events, but we are most proud of writing and self publishing four children’s resource books. 1 Non-Fiction Multicultural Hardcover Alphabet Book and 3 Writing workbooks. These books were a labor of love, but we know they will help children become better readers and writers. They are currently available on our website and Amazon!
Getting to the place we are now, has been quite the adventure! We are glad we took the leap of faith and have been very much supported and encouraged along the way. We have learned that clear communication, asking questions, having lots of patience, allowing yourself grace, and having faith, will get you a little bit closer to your goals. It is not easy, but worth it! There have been many times we wanted to quit, but when we see how far we have come and we keep going. We just take it “10 minutes at a time” We all can do 10 more minutes!
Blooming Pages is a small business founded by two Teacher Moms who want to continue supporting teachers, parents, lifelong learners, and young children beyond the classroom. Our goal is to provide informative, engaging and interactive teacher & parent workshops, children classes & resources, that lead children to become confident learners, independent thinkers, & all-around Blooming Scholars. When we work together, we achieve together!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We live in Tamarac/Sunrise areas. We are originally from New York and New Jersey. If our family came to visit this is what a week of fun would look like.

To our families for giving us the space, encouragement and time to bloom! Without all of their love and dedication, none of this would be possible! Thank you for believing in us.
To Clara T. I love you yes! Thank you for believing in me, even when I didn’t. Thank you for planting and watering the seed.
