We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassidy Jean and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassidy, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Honestly, my work IS my life. I have a 9-5, and anytime I’m not at work, I’m working on my makeup business. My availability is all times of the day outside of my 9-5, so if a client needs their makeup done at 2 in the morning, I will be up and ready with my brushes and ring light.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I really had no idea that I’d fall In love with makeup. I kept getting gifted makeup products although I barely used them, and then one day I decided to try a dramatic look. I found out I was pretty good at it, so I kept learning and practicing. Now that I’ve mastered my own face, I’m ready to master others’ faces.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite place is this little bar in Boca Raton that I love to go and sing Karaoke in with my friends. I also love to go paintballing at Extreme Rage Paintball Park in Davie, and shopping at Boca Town Center Mall.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to shoutout Jhon, Jennifer, and Anastasia for always supporting me and giving me the best advice about work, life, business, and everything in between. I’d also like to shoutout Emerica, Ashley, Chante, Gigi, and Niesha for being my biggest supporters and my favorite practice models.
