Meet Catherine De Freitas | Event Curator, Community Builder, Yoga Instructor, Spiritual Guide

We had the good fortune of connecting with Catherine De Freitas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Catherine, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Vida Boa creates social impact by helping people reconnect with themselves, with each other, and with the magic of life — something our world is desperately missing. Whether through the Vida Boa Event Agency or the Wellness Community, everything I build is rooted in connection, healing, and human expansion.
At its core, Vida Boa is about bringing people back to wholeness through the three pillars of the brand: freedom, flow, and fun.
✨ FREEDOM — Our events help people feel inspired from the inside out, giving them space to awaken, feel, and reconnect with their purpose. It’s emotional freedom, spiritual freedom, and the freedom to be your truest self.
✨ FLOW — We incorporate movement, breathwork, meditation, and healing modalities that help people regulate their nervous systems, expand their consciousness, and return to their bodies. Flow opens people up to clarity, peace, and possibility.
✨ FUN — We remind people that wellness doesn’t have to be rigid or serious. It can be joyful, playful, expressive, and social. Our events create friendships, laughter, dancing, and genuine community — the type of connection that nourishes the soul.
In a world where so many people feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or isolated, Vida Boa serves as a sanctuary — a place where people can breathe, soften, and remember who they are. We bring together individuals from all backgrounds, ages, and journeys and give them a space to feel safe, supported, and seen.
Through the Event Agency, we help brands create purposeful, intentional, transformational experiences that positively impact their communities.
Through the Wellness Community, we create healing spaces where people can grow, evolve, and feel less alone.
And through the Vida Boa lifestyle, we share a message that life is meant to be magical, balanced, and beautiful — that you are the creator of your reality, and that joy is your birthright.
The impact is emotional, spiritual, and communal.
It’s the ripple effect: when one person feels more grounded, connected, and inspired, they bring that energy into their relationships, their work, their families, and their communities.
Vida Boa exists to help people live “the good life” — not just for themselves, but in a way that uplifts everyone around them.

What should our readers know about your business?
Vida Boa is more than a business — it’s a movement, a lifestyle, and an energy.
I founded both Vida Boa Event Agency and Vida Boa Wellness Community with the mission of helping people feel more connected, inspired, and alive. The name “Vida Boa” means “the good life” in Portuguese, which comes from my Brazilian roots and the way I was raised — to find joy in simplicity, to celebrate life, and to believe in the magic that exists all around us.
What sets my brand apart is the intention behind everything we do. Our events aren’t just workouts, panels, or gatherings — they’re full sensory experiences designed to awaken people emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Everything is built around the three pillars of Vida Boa:
✨ FREEDOM — the emotional and spiritual liberation people feel when they connect with themselves. Our experiences ignite inspiration, clarity, purpose, and that inner spark that reminds you of who you truly are.
✨ FLOW — the embodiment practices: yoga, movement, breathwork, meditation, intuitive expression. Flow helps people drop into their bodies, expand their consciousness, and reconnect with their intuition.
✨ FUN — the joy that makes wellness feel exciting, playful, social, and sustainable. We dance, laugh, breathe, connect, and create spaces where people feel uplifted and at home in their bodies.
I am most proud of the community that has formed around Vida Boa — a community of people who genuinely care about growth, connection, mindfulness, and living life with intention. Watching strangers meet at my events and leave as friends, or watching someone walk in heavy and walk out glowing — that is the heart of my work.
But getting here wasn’t easy.
The truth is, my business was born from some of my hardest moments. I left an unhealthy relationship at the start of the year, paused my business, moved home with my parents, and did the deepest inner work of my life. I worked with an intuitive mentor to understand the belief systems and emotional patterns that were holding me back. I had to dismantle old versions of myself — the anxious, overwhelmed, self-doubting girl — to step into the woman I am today.
The biggest lesson I learned is that your business can only grow as much as you grow internally.
The more I healed, the more I expanded.
The more I trusted myself, the more opportunities appeared.
The more I loved myself, the more magnetic my brand became.
Challenges taught me to lead from intuition, surrender, alignment, and faith — not from fear or pressure. They taught me boundaries, balance, and the importance of resting, receiving, and reconnecting with my feminine energy.
If there is one thing I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s this:
Vida Boa is a reminder that life is meant to feel magical.
We are not here just to survive — we are here to create, to connect, to evolve, and to live fully.
My purpose is to help people return to the truth of who they are:
✨ powerful
✨ worthy
✨ loved
✨ free
✨ connected
✨ and capable of creating a beautiful life
Vida Boa isn’t just something you attend — it’s something you become.
It’s a lifestyle, a frequency, a feeling.
And my mission is to help the world feel that “good life” — from the inside out.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit Miami for a week, I would want to give them the full Vida Boa experience — the perfect mix of wellness, connection, nature, delicious food, and fun. We’d start our mornings walking through South Pointe Park or Morningside Park, grounding ourselves in the ocean breeze before heading to a hot yoga class at Soul Yoga in Sunset Harbour. I’d definitely take them to one of my Vida Boa events so they could experience the energy, the community, and the freedom–flow–fun lifestyle in real time. We’d explore the Coconut Grove Farmers Market, one of my favorite places with so many local vendors, fresh fruit, and people from the community who truly embody Miami’s soulful energy. We’d spend as much time outside as possible — paddleboarding in Key Biscayne or Miami Beach, doing sunset walks at Matheson Hammock Park, and visiting the big nature preserve and dog park nearby, which I absolutely love. I’d take them to Soho House for a beautiful happy hour, then dinner at one of the amazing restaurants in Coconut Grove — the Grove has some of the best food in the city and such a cozy, vibrant atmosphere. At night, we’d go out dancing and enjoy drinks at places like Coyo Taco’s back bar or wherever the Miami night takes us, because I love having a balanced lifestyle that blends wellness with play. We could also stroll around the Miracle Mile area near Four Gables and explore the charming streets and cafés. Overall, I’d fill the week with sunshine, movement, community, great food, and a lot of laughter — everything that makes Miami feel magical and everything that represents the Vida Boa lifestyle: living freely, feeling connected, and enjoying the good life in every moment.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people and influences who have shaped the woman I am today, and I truly wouldn’t be here without them. My journey has been one of deep healing, rebirth, and transformation — and I’ve been supported by love, guidance, and divine timing every step of the way.
First, I have to honor my parents and my Brazilian family. Growing up in a spiritual, loving household gave me the foundation for everything I do now. They taught me joy, intuition, faith, and the belief that life is bigger than what meets the eye. They grounded me, supported me, and have been my safe place during every chapter — especially during the moments I was rebuilding myself.
I also want to recognize my community — the people who attend my events, support my vision, collaborate with me, and believe in the magic of Vida Boa. They are the heartbeat of everything I create. Every hug, every message, every moment of connection reminds me why I choose this path.
A major part of my transformation came from my mentorship journey with Alexia, the intuitive medium who guided me through one of the most transformative periods of my life. She helped me unravel belief systems, heal emotional wounds, and reconnect with my inner wisdom. Working with her shifted my entire relationship with myself and allowed me to step into my womanhood with confidence, softness, and deep self-value.
I also have to give credit to the books, teachers, and spiritual guides that opened my eyes and expanded my consciousness. Many Lives, Many Masters was one of the first books that made me believe in the unseen, the soul’s journey, and the idea that healing is multidimensional. That book sparked a spiritual remembrance in me — one that now influences everything I bring into Vida Boa.
And lastly, a shoutout to my past self — the younger version of me who kept going even when she was scared, overwhelmed, or unsure of her path. She took the leaps, she followed the intuitive hits, she walked away from what didn’t align, and she believed in a dream long before it made sense to anyone else.
My success isn’t just mine — it’s the result of every person, teacher, healer, friend, and moment that touched my life. And I am endlessly grateful for all of it.
