We had the good fortune of connecting with Catherine Road and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Catherine, can you talk to us about the impact the Covid-19 Crisis has had on your business.
The Covid-19 pandemic has stalled our operations as it has for the entire chauffeured transportation industry. South Florida depends on booming tourism, amazing events such as Art Basel, and business conventions. Especially this time of year, our business is usually booming because of proms and weddings. Just as many have missed out on these memorable moments, our business has stopped because of these moments not being celebrated. Our company has been proactive with thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting vehicles after each ride. We provide hand sanitizer to all passengers and have our professional chauffeurs have face masks, and encourage our passengers to do the same. We have even installed plexiglass partitions between the front seats and the back seating area in some SUVs. Our mission remains the same: to provide excellent service and having the safety and comfort of our clients be our highest priority.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started OneLimo Alliance in 2010 after seeing a need for more reliable and professional chauffeured service. Before starting OneLimo Alliance, I had been a bank manager. My skills of providing personalized customer service, training, and leading staff, and ensuring a great experience from start to finish were so valuable when starting OneLimo Alliance and still are. From the first contact, we have with our customers, whether via email or telephone, we make sure they get their quote proposal the same day, have a knowledgeable and courteous chauffeur to assist them and follow up with them to check about their experience with us. After being in business for more than 9 years, the repeat business we receive from our clients is what makes us a successful company. Although COVID-19 has presented us with challenging times, we want our customers and prospective customers to know that we are 100% here for them, and we have been proactive to ensure that their safety, health, and comfort is our number one priority.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow! That’s a tough question! I think having them do a fun Culinary tour with Miami Culinary Tours either in Wynwood or Little Havana would be a great start! This company, run by culinary extraordinaire Grace Della, shows the very best in food and culture that Miami has to offer. After an amazing food tour, since I’m such a foodie, I’d take them to other places not to be missed: Joe’s Stone Crab, The Salty Donut, Dr. Limon for some amazing Peruvian food, and Juvia for their amazing food and city views. Some of my favorite places to hang out are Wynwood, Coconut Grove, and Little Havana. In Little Havana, I especially love Cafe La Trova for some live music, great cocktails and delicious Cuban food. If they come with their kids, I love to take my own to the Frost Science Museum, the Miami Children’s Museum, and Jungle Island. For some yummy ice cream with the kids, Azucar Ice Cream in Little Havana is one of my go-to spots.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The organization I want to recognize for their incredible efforts in growing both the leisure and corporate business of our community is the Greater Miami Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (GMCVB). This organization works tirelessly so that the hospitality businesses in South Florida, such as hotels, restaurants, and limo companies such as mine, succeed and provide excellent service to all that visit our incredible, diverse community. I am extremely proud to be a GMCVB.Partner.
