We had the good fortune of connecting with Cesare Salerno and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cesare, how do you think about risk?
Risk is a must to be successful in life, as humans we have an innate feeling to take risks. As we develop and learn, the big difference is how you approach the risk and how well prepared you are to take it, being afraid is part of the challenge.
Clear goals and confidence in yourself are the key components to accomplishing what is essential in life for you and the people you love.

Life has different phases; I had to a risk in each of them and learn from my mistakes to be better.

For example, in my career I like to take risks. When I decided to move to the USA, I found myself in a new country, with new friends, a different language, and a new job to grow professionally. I had fear, but it paid off.

I love what I do as a Cinematographer, Business Owner, Friend, Son, Husband, and Father of two amazing kids and one more coming. The love for my wife and children is the perfect complement to enjoy my successes.

Be yourself and be happy taking the risks that works for you. In that you will find the successes that are meant for you.

What should our readers know about your business?
For me, CSP Media Group and Greenlight & Cameras are a dream come true.

CSP Media Group began to form in 2007 after I was fired from the company I worked for. This took me by surprise but at the same time, after a few days and talking with who is now my wife, Stephanie Pasternak, we analyzed the situation and deep down, it was something that needed to happen in order to continue growing in my career. That was how I started in the freelance world, once there I let the passion and talent for my work speak for itself.

Little by little this began to bear fruit and I acquired my first camera and some other equipment. In the course of 2 or 3 years, I managed to have a significant amount of equipment and began to change from freelance DP to Enterprise. Now I could give my quality service to many more companies and people and that is how I formed the CSP Media Group and Greenlight & Cameras brand, which is how they know us today.

The biggest challenge, I experienced in the recent year, attempting to survive this Pandemic which is not over yet, I decided to form a 50% in-house and 50% Freelance work team to change the structure of the company.

We are where we are today because our brand represents Quality in each of the Production processes, we have a highly qualified human team in all areas and facilities, along with our own high-tech equipment that allows us to be very competitive in the national and international

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Miami is a city with a lot of energy and Latin flavor, full of beautiful places to visit, starting with the beach, taking a boat and ride along the inter-costal is a must. If you like diving, there are wonderful coral reefs to explore. You have to visit Miami Beach, then visit Lincoln rd, española way, Ocean drive, clubs like Liv and Mint. Once you get out of there, head Down Town, but stop by the Design District first, walk through Wynwood and surround yourself with culture and art. Once in Down town you can stop at various restaurants such as Ceviche 105 or Fratelli Milano – as Peruvian and Italian foods are my favorite. Then continue your route to Brickel and enjoy the modernity and luxury of Miami in its splendor. When you want to enjoy more of the Latin and Cuban flavor go to Calle Ocho and catch a party at Ball and Chain. Well it’s time for you to come and enjoy Miami and its surroundings.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Family is the key to my success in life. If I could compare the people in my life that helped shape my growth, to a growing baby in a mother’s womb – I would start with my Mom. She is like the heart, the first and most important organ – She was always by my side giving me all the support I needed in any situation. She gave me the seeds to believe in myself and the ability to grow. Then I have the rest of my family – They are the brain, the spinal cord and the inmune system, the basic support for everything else. Friends are like arms and hands – They help you reach and achieve new goals and take you by the hand on different journeys. Then comes my wife, Stephanie, she would be like the legs and feet. She takes me on full speed to new adventures so I can jump, run, dance, push through any difficulties, and be grounded when I need to. She helps me walk in the right direction and is the meaning of my life. She is the key factor, her love, understanding, vision and all she does for me and my kids keeps me going and dreaming. But most important – is being a father to Enzo and Gaia, they would be the lungs, the last to form but just as important as the heart. And so I become a full human, ready to reach any goal I have in mind. I do dedicate my successes to everyone in my life, thank you so much!
