We had the good fortune of connecting with Chantel Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chantel, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my personal and professional success is my MINDSET.

As a start up business / entrepreneur you can pretty much count on the fact that obstacles, self doubt and an intense amount of work will be involved. While these things may be overwhelming at times, a grounded mindset and perspective will allow you to overcome it all. This can take a lot of practice but it all begins with understanding your worth and viewing everything as a lesson.

One of my favorite quotes to live by in my personal life and business is, “I never lose. I either win or I learn.”

When you go into situations with this mentality is eliminates fear based thinking and nurtures confidence in yourself and brand.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My story begins with the birth of my son. As a new mom it was difficult to navigate this new role while simultaneously figuring out what I wanted to do in life. Eventually my passion for wellness turned into a simple blog, which then eventually turned to a full time career today. It’s humbling to think of where I started versus where I am now and I love showing others it’s possible!

The road to entrepreneurship is not easy by any means, but when you’re driven, consistent and confident nothing is impossible. I think this way of thinking really sets me a part because I don’t allow others to fall victim into an “I can’t” mentality. I make sure to be super relatable with my audience to let them know if I can do it, so can they.

Currently, I’m really proud to be creating content for global brands and am excited to see where the growth of my business continues to take me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite places to explore in the area are definitely The Sacred Space Miami for any upcoming wellness events, Wynwood for epic art inspo and Bill Baggs Cape for a hidden beach adventure day. As for eats, some of my absolute MUSTS are L’Artisane Bakery, Planta and Holi Vegan Kitchen.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Major shoutout to my husband for being the ultimate team player and business partner. My hours and schedule can often times be nuts but he never fails to show up in whatever role I need him to. Whether it be stepping it up as Dad to our son, or coming along as my shooter for a brand campaign or client – he’s definitely a blessing.
