We had the good fortune of connecting with Chase Rossman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chase, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
First and foremost I’d love the legacy to be self-acceptance and showcase of the dynamic beauty behind individual’s insecurities!
I look at photography as both only an artist way of expression but a very powerful tool to help shift an individual’s perspective of themselves, how they feel, and help them get over body image issues that they might have!
It’s about grating a space and experience where they can be themselves and see themselves in a new light! Embrace it and feel powerful!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I don’t it’s ever easy to get into something. For the most part as a creative you age. To find a voice and to do that you ah e to do it time and time again! Apply what you know when you can and be curious about art in general!
For me I kept seeing the same image and still do – same pose- same light- same expressions pop up!
While it sites in the main stream of things I crave to present a different viewpoint! That’s where the why was born! The why is shift perspectives, everyone has an epic authentic image in them!
It takes the right coaching, process, idea to find it and capture it on a much larger scale!
Lessons are learned everyday. The biggest one just get better at what you do, keep doing it and even when others seems to pop up and start trying to replicate you! It’s impossible to do! You already have had a substantial experience they don’t!
The trick I feel like is figuring out how to level yourself up and keep learning and moving forward.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I don’t think there is one place in particular I enjoy – I’m more about finding new and different things to do!
If I do have someone visit I’m suggesting Palm Beach Pole! Talk about different and breaking ideas, having fun etc!
It’s wrapped up into one. Other than that leave more room to explore the area etc.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
From the State in the photography a good friend of Mine Maicol Osorio Garcia has been a great inspiration and support system.
We both have grown in our business etc throughout the years but when it comes to being in the trenches he is there!
He is the owner of www.Maicolheadshots.com
Also there is Peter Hurley, Lindsey Adler, Joel Grimes, whom I’ve studied and used their teachings to better understand and change my own techniques throughout the years
