We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsea Alana and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chelsea, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was receiving so many questions from people who wanted to start becoming an influencer for either free products or getting paid collaborations. I literally got tired of repeating myself to people over and over so I wrote everything down in a book I published back in 2018, Passions to Profit. Over time, the questions and situations had so many various answers that I created my own social media management agency,

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the proud owner of Passions to Profit, a social media agency founded in 2018, is exhilarated by the opportunity to assist micro influencers in securing brand deals and establishing passive income streams. My journey to where I stands today in the business world has not been an easy one. Challenges were encountered along the way, but I overcame them with resilience and determination. Through my experiences of being rejected, being scammed and most of the times being broke due to lack of direction, I gained valuable lessons that have shaped my path. I want the world to recognize my brand as a beacon of support for micro influencers, empowering them to monetize their passions. My story is one of perseverance and success, driven by the belief that everyone can turn their passions into profitable ventures.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friends to a spa day at the W, relax and take photos poolside at the Faena, grab coffee at the Baccarat just so I can complain about how the original Baccarat in New York is so much better!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The only people I can say had a helping in my story is my parents. When I was growing up social media was just starting. I was fairly popular on MySpace, AOL and all those forgotten platforms however when it was time for me to pick a career, I was very confused. My parents allowed me time to figure things out and when I started becoming a influencer on social media, they did not understand it at all but supported me fully.
