We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsea Baptiste and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chelsea, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Becoming a creative was definitely apart of my vision since a child. To be able to express myself through my art is the most liberating feeling. I became good at what I loved and my art made others feel inspired and at that moment all I ever wanted to do was create and share that part of me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’d love the world to know that this girl started without an academic fashion background and taught herself how to create pieces she wanted to share. With continuous mistakes, rebranding and experiences the brand grew and began being recognized regionally and internationally. Pieces were published in magazines, newspapers and blogs and were also worn by public figures and musicians. The world needs to know that it’s only the beginning and there’s a lot more they’re going to see from VIVRE by Chelsea.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love day activities so first stop would have to be a very aesthetically pleasing brunch spot for great food , cocktails and pics. A beach day up Maracas is mandatory. Sun sand sea and some good bake and shark to munch on alongside some cold beers for the island weather.
There’s always great live mini concert and markets to buy local handmade artifacts while we chill , sip and dance to some good live music.
Got to head to the sister Isle Tobago where there’s glass bottom boat to go see the nylon pool in the middle of the sea.
Night food run where there is over 50 food trucks to try different types of food.
