Meet Chelsie Thewlis

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsie Thewlis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chelsie, what matters most to you?
The principle that matters most to me is intentionality. Whether it’s in my professional life as a TA Coordinator or in my personal projects like content creation, I believe in showing up with purpose and thoughtfulness. At my full-time job, I’m intentional about creating a smooth, positive candidate experience — from coordinating interviews to making sure every detail, like travel or room setup, is handled with care. In my content work, I’m intentional about the balance I show — staying authentic, while still crafting videos that reflect both chaos and creativity in a way people can connect with. I’ve found that being intentional leads to more meaningful work, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of satisfaction in everything I do.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career has definitely been shaped by both intention and hustle. I’m currently a TA Coordinator at an aerospace company, where I manage everything from interview scheduling and candidate travel to onsite logistics and ensuring an amazing candidate experience. I work closely with 12 recruiters, and it’s fast-paced — but I love it. What sets me apart is how much care I put into the little things. I see every candidate interaction as a reflection of the company, and I want them to walk away feeling excited, respected, and taken care of.
But I also have this whole other side of me that’s creative and a little chaotic — I’m a content creator on TikTok and YouTube, where I share a mix of lifestyle, mukbangs, and real-life moments. Balancing both worlds hasn’t always been easy. There were definitely times where I questioned whether I could do it all, especially while still being present for my family, friends, and myself. But I’ve learned to stop waiting for things to feel ‘perfect’ and to start wherever I am — messy or not. That mindset helped me grow my TikTok to over 70K followers and millions of likes.
What I’m most proud of is staying consistent, even when results didn’t show right away. I’ve had to learn that growth is rarely instant — but when you’re aligned with your purpose and values, it compounds over time.
What I want people to know is that my story is really about staying grounded while still dreaming big. Whether it’s making someone’s interview day feel smoother or making someone laugh on their FYP, I just want to show up with purpose and remind people that you don’t have to choose between being professional and being fully yourself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, I’d want to give them a week full of good food, good vibes, and a little bit of chaos — in the best way. Here’s how I’d plan it out:
Day 1 – Welcome & Chill
• Pick-up vibes: I’d grab them from the airport with snacks and an iced matcha, coffee or boba in hand — because that’s just how we start things off right.
• Dinner: We’d do a low-key but bomb dinner at a local spot with comfort food — maybe ramen or pizza to get cozy and catch up.
• Evening: Movie night at home with a mukbang spread, obviously filmed for TikTok because… content never sleeps.
Day 2 – Food Tour & Shopping
• Brunch: Trendy café with great aesthetics for pics — somewhere with fancy toasts, lattes with foam art, and natural lighting.
• Afternoon: Hit up local boutiques, thrift stores, and maybe a pop-up market or plant shop.
• Dinner: A vibey rooftop restaurant with views — think sunset, cocktails/mocktails, and sharing plates.
• Nightcap: Dessert stop for soft serve or a mochi donut place, because we don’t skip sweets.
Day 3 – Adventure Day
• Morning: Early start for a scenic hike or beach walk — something active but not too intense.
• Lunch: Seafood spot or taco truck right near the coast — laid-back but full of flavor.
• Evening: Nighy market for spontaneous fun — arcade games, random snacks, OR bar hopping my on the peninsula and just being chaotic together.
Day 4 – At-Home Creator Day / Pool Day
• All Day: We’d stay in and have a content creation day — matching outfits, filming mukbangs, trying viral recipes, chaotic “get ready with me” videos. Full creator studio energy with ring lights and snacks everywhere. While making sure to get a tan in at my pool!
• Dinner: Home-cooked meal, maybe a big hot pot or Filipino food (I’m half Filipino) with everyone helping.
Day 5 – Local Culture + Chill
• Brunch: Somewhere new with rotating menus or seasonal dishes.
• Midday: Museum, art installation, rose garden — something interactive or aesthetic.
• Evening: Chill bar with a live DJ or a paint-and-sip night.
Day 6 – Treat Yourself Day
• Spa Morning: Facials, massages, or a DIY self-care day at home with face masks and music.
• Afternoon: Cute café crawl or bakery tour — grabbing treats at every stop.
• Dinner: Fancy dinner out — something we dress up for. I’m talking reservations, cute outfits, and full main character energy.
Day 7 – Cozy Goodbye
• Morning: Sleep in, slow breakfast together at home or a chill diner.
• Midday: Final stop for one last TikTok filming session — maybe something sentimental or goofy.
• Evening: Drop-off with full hearts and a shared photo dump folder.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely want to give a shoutout to my family and my husband. They’ve been my biggest support system through everything — my career, my content, and just life in general. My siblings, especially, have been my biggest cheerleaders from the very beginning. When I first wanted to start creating content, they were the ones hyping me up, sharing my videos, and reminding me to keep going even when growth felt slow. My husband has also been incredibly supportive, whether it’s being patient while our house turns into a filming space or encouraging me through late-night edits. I honestly wouldn’t be able to show up so fully in all the things I do without their constant love and belief in me.
