We had the good fortune of connecting with Chloe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chloe, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Music industry it’s something that requires time and consistency. You can’t say that after 3 years of investing in your career, you will be successful but you need to make that path. You need to keep making music and invest in knowledge in order to have the chance to be present in the market. If you stop dropping songs, you’ll not be seen. My manager always says to me that a good career is the one that only grows, you can’t jump any step of it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started my music career being a performer and singing covers. Creating shows was always fascinating for me, I would often dream about performance details, choreography, lighting, clothes and stage movement. I think that being like that since I was a child really reflects a lot on what type of artist I am today. The path is not easy, and comes with a lot of closed doors everyday. This industry does not have a secret to success, doesn’t come with a manual to study and you need so much resilience, investment, patience and flexibility. You need to be able to learn and still keep your essence. You need to overcome all the challenges and all the criticism and still be able to stay true to yourself so you don’t get lost along the way. Given that,  I work to drop music that speaks for myself and to perform with all the elements that I value and seek in other singers.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my best friend to the beach by morning, I love to wear the sea it’s relaxing. Then we should have lunch in a beach bar and get a lot of sun. At night we should dinner in “Cais de Gaia” wish is a beautiful area of Gaia, with lovely lights by the river in the night and then we would watch a show in the historic theater ” Sá da Bandeira” or Porto Coliseum. Gaia and Porto are really beautiful places to walk by the river and in the center you always find so many cultural events to go to.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All the producers, engineers, songwriters that I’ve worked along the time, taught me so much about music creation and inspired me so much to be better everyday and in every show. My manager Batuta is a huge producer and visioner, he teaches me so much and fills me with confidence and knowledge about the industry itself. He will be a big part of every great song we will drop in the future.
