We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Almeida and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I launched the Rae Rituals community to be the the sisterhood I never had. It’s a space to show women all over the world how powerful we are and just how quickly we can heal when we support each other. Not only did I want to share my practices and Breathwork, but I felt the true healing lies in all women sharing their rituals and healing practices.

I wanted to create a space where women feel comfortable sharing their everyday practices and learning from other women. My goal is to eventually have women from all over the world on Rae Rituals connecting and practicing together through these live and on demand practices.

Through the bonds of sisterhood, we commit to a shared path of healing, growth, and liberation. Our true power expands when we come together and support each other, treating each other as sisters rather than opponents. Through community and sisterhood I truly believe we can accomplish what we cannot do alone.

RaeRituals.com serves as a safe, empowering, and nourishing space for women to connect with sisterhood, heal trauma, recover, and awaken their most empowered selves.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Rae Rituals is a membership community offering live and on-demand health and wellness rituals and practices made by women for women to support their mindfulness, healing, and recovery journeys.

I am also a women’s life coach and recently launched my Sober and Thriving Masterclass which is a a transformational & comprehensive women’s Masterclass to guide you in reclaiming the power and confidence you need to thrive in sobriety.

All of my offerings are based on my personal experience. I am just over 2 years sober and many years now on my healing journey and my mission is to help women heal in community. I share my experiences and the knowledge I have gained on my journey through my programs and in the rituals shared on my community spaces.

It took me getting very honest with myself to get to where I am today, I had to let go of the rules and the programming that was hard wired in. I used to think I needed to sell things and build a big online empire to be successful. I had an online store and was based in New York City and on the outside I looked successful, but the more honest I got with myself the more I realized I wasn’t living my purpose.

After leaving New York, and getting sober, I decided to close my store and to start working directly with women and doing what I truly felt called to do, serving and helping women heal.

There was a lot of fear and doubts that came with that decision. I worried what others would think of my decision, I worked that I wouldn’t be equipped to help other women, but I followed my heart, continued to learn as much as I could and just went for it.

When I held my first retreat, and experience the power of women truly healing together, I knew this was my calling. Coming together in sisterhood allows us to discover our true power as women in a world that wants us to believe we have no power. It allows us to care for ourselves and each other. Its an unbreakable bond, where her success = my success, her freedom is my freedom.

When we come together in sisterhood, there is nothing stopping us from healing and beyond.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spot is at the Faena. I am actually a member of their Faena Rose Arts community so I love to attend their arts centered events and bring friends, or just head to the music on the beach and relax. Or even dine at los fuegos.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shoutout to the powerful women and mentors in my life who have supported me in the past years on my healing journey and there honestly has been a whole sisterhood! But my coach and mentor Moun D’Simone has been one of my biggest supporters this past year, my Mother Chrystal Rae Almeida and my closest friend Jordan Goff.
