Meet Christina Kozman | Social Media Influencer & IT Project Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Kozman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve had the privilege of watching the Pembroke Pines grow and change so much. Having lived here so long, I’m always eating, shopping, and visiting different places around town. Pembroke Pines and Miramar have so much to offer, yet I felt no one was actually making an effort to highlight them! That’s when I decided to start an instagram page to do just that, and @onlyinpines was born. I started in Pembroke Pines pines and now I have grown so rapidly I am doing all of South Florida! Since I am now doing all of South Florida I have decided to re brand my page and name and I am now known as @Ms. SoFlo

I started with just a few videos of local restaurants in Pembroke Pines and before I knew it, my audience started to grow. Now, I’m helping to share all of the amazing businesses and events South Florida has to offer, and loving every minute of it!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

By day, I’m an IT Project Manager for a national healthcare company. I love my job but I’ve always had a creative side too. That’s part of why I started be a content creator @Ms. SoFlo

My page started focusing on the city I grew up in, Pembroke Pines. It then started to grow really fast and I have slowly started to expand to other cities all around South Florida.

What started out as an outlet for me to share and support local businesses, quickly grew into a community.

Now, I love discovering anything and everything in South Florida and adding my unique perspective to help share their story.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I would love to give 2 special shout- outs. One to my boyfriend Mike who’s been so supportive during this journey. He’s been by my side and coming to help me shoot content and try all these great places. He’s also been there day in and day out believing in me and helping me grow. The other to my long time best friend of 20+ years- Nathaly. My journey started with her going to these different restaurants and events locally. She was supportive of my idea watched me start from the beginning when I barely had any following and encouraged me start.
