We had the good fortune of connecting with Christine Llorente Cardenas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christine, how does your business help the community?
At Llorente Design, I believe in supporting conscious thinking business owners, creatives and entrepreneurs through thoughtful art direction, branding, and website design. I’m passionate about businesses who believe in sustainability practices, while working towards improving the lives of people, communities and our Earth.
Supporting conscious thinking businesses is more important than ever. My hope is to contribute and offer design and branding services to these businesses, allowing them to grow and connect with their ideal communities.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I believe it shouldn’t be so difficult to break through the noise and make a positive impact on the world. I also believe branding is the foundation of any successful business. I started Llorente Design to equip conscious-thinking entrepreneurs with beautiful branding and web design rooted in powerful storytelling, solid strategy, and cohesive communication.
My love of drawing, painting, and creating art runs deep. I knew I wanted to be an artist by the time I was five years old, and went on to earn my BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration. After 15 years as a designer and art director at ad agencies and global organizations, I decided to start my own studio focused on serving responsible brands who share my passion for sustainable living.
But perhaps more than anything, I love creating contemporary, timeless and elevated design that connects with people on an emotional and psychological level. Nothing lights me up like collaborating with my clients to turn their vision into a visual system that attracts their dream clients and helps them achieve their goals.
Simply put: I’m in the business of helping your business make a positive impact on society (and look good while doing it). Whatever your design needs, I’m here to meet them with energy, creativity, and professionalism—so you can get back to the meaningful work you set out to do in the first place.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m pretty low key these days and enjoy being outside, when I’m not behind my desk – designing away. Slow living outside of the office and visiting just about any park or trail is my favorite, along with lots of coffee and sushi.
Favorite Spots in the City:
Monday: Biscayne Bay National Park for a trail walk, bike ride or kayak
Tuesday: Coffee at Vice City Bean or Panther Coffee, Shopping at Brickell City Center
Wednesday: Paddle Board at Sunset Harbour Miami Beach and Sushi Garage or Ono Poke for lunch
Thursday: The Standard Spa and Lido Bayside Grill (in Miami Beach) for food and drinks
Friday: Drinks with friends at Unseen Creatures and go to Wynwood (but only if my friend has never visited, ha!)
Saturday: Brewing Buddha Cafe (for avocado toast and a mocha latte), lounge by the pool at the Biltmore Hotel
Sunday: Beach all day at Crandon Park or walk the Key Biscayne bridge
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d definitely dedicate this to my family for allowing me the space to design and create, even under the craziest deadlines and to the best high school teacher – my magnet art studio teacher, Mr. McKinley for introducing me to graphic design and giving me room to create art for art’s sake.
