We had the good fortune of connecting with Cierra Bragan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cierra, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I think that it takes a lot of wisdom to know when to be resilient and when to pivot. I believe if you are attuned to your calling and purpose, you’re better able to navigate through challenges. I have found that it’s important to remember that hard things are not necessarily bad things or wrong things, but an opportunity to be refined and/or to strengthen the vision through hardship. Sometimes the most challenging opportunities are exactly that… opportunities for our personal and professional growth and development.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a serial entrepreneur, I feel that I have married my passion and purpose to create Miami Mom Collective. I founded Miami Mom Collective in hopes of connecting local moms online and offline through relevant content, high-quality events, and a meaningful community.
Miami Mom Collective was born in 2018 out of necessity and passion. The journey of motherhood can sometimes be challenging and lonely. Being a Mom in Miami, a transient and diverse city, can present a whole new set of challenges. I knew there had to be other moms in Miami that craved the same things I did: authentic community and relevant, trusted resources. Thus Miami Mom Collective was born — providing a place where local moms can connect and find the encouragement and resources that they need to succeed.
Our amazing team of 40+ local influencers is producing new content that is shared on our blog daily. We work with local businesses and national brands to feature the best products and services offered to help make Mom life easier and more fun. In addition to the content on our blog, we also produce high end, quality events for Moms and families where Moms can interact and connect with each other, which strengthens our community.
We believe that Miami Mom Collective is different from other similar entities in the market today. We are a team of women who collaboratively desire to serve and empower other moms in Miami by sharing our lives with them. There is something very powerful about real, authentic connection and Miami Mom Collective aims to provide not just a service or product to our audience but a meaningful and lasting relationship.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you’re visiting Miami and want to spare no expense, a visit to the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne would give you the opportunity for awesome views and a small town beach feel, while staying in Miami. For dining, I would suggest Rusty Pelican for the views, and Prime Italian for the best risotto of your life! Visit The Salty Donut and Zak the Baker in Wynwood for challah bread and cookies! If your kids are in tow, a visit to Frost Science is a must. Don’t forget to swing by Cafe Versailles for a quintessential Miami cortadito. You can end your stay with a beautiful sunset cruise with Captain Derek aboard Miami Happy Cruises to enjoy the best views of Downtown Miami.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout any and every mom in Miami who has ever experienced how lonely motherhood can be, but also how encouraging it is to have a group of women around you.
