We had the good fortune of connecting with Clé and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Clé, is there something you believe many others might not?
I’ve always disagreed when I hear people tell me to “live in the moment” or “live like it’s your last day.” You have to play the long game. Make preparations for your future self always.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m Clé and I’m a singer-songwriter and recording artist. I also teach middle school music by day. I’m excited about embarking on this ever-changing journey of journaling relatable stories through song. My style consists mainly of R&B, Afrobeats, and Pop. It took some time to realize that I needed to stop playing things safe, to just take the risk and release music. The most important thing I’ve learned so far. I’ve had challenges and attacks on my character but I’ve overcome them by staying true to the man I know I am, and by my incredible support system. I’d like the world to know that I’m here and I’ve got got some messages to relay through my stream of releases that will be made available on all digital platforms.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The biggest thing for me is food. We gotta hit one of my favorite spots in prime 112, Flemings, Kyu. Also, I like to go to the gun range (Nexus all day.) After that, I’m down for whatever just not the strip cubs though haha.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m blessed to have the support system that I have. From my family, close friends, and church family has all helped shaped me to who I am today.
